Sorry to say I don't know.
But this reminds me that very cool part at the end of the episode where Spock says-over his 'dead' body- "His name was Adam." and the soundtrack has a guitar strum and his finger moves as if strumming the guitar.
Did they think of that in editing when they noticed his finger move or did they plan for his hand to move (unlikely) or did they not even notice his hand move when they were editing the episode?
Search here for the props thread. A lot of knowledgeable people were posting there, and would probably respond.

Edit: I don't know why, but I'm in a slightly good mood this morning, so I found it for you:

I think it can be easily salvaged. Yeah, the cheesy 60s tunes and lingo is too much, but the message behind it is a sound one.

What's the message behind it?

"Oh, Herbert!" How can anyone not enjoy this episode? .....

I can imagine Mr. Solow not liking this episode too much.
You mean Herbert F. Solow, the executive in charge of production of "Star Trek",
"Where the hell is the telephone?!" I yelled.
"Uh ... well ... uh, Mr. Solow wants to talk to you about that."
So now Herb Solow, Desilu's "executive in charge of production," comes down to the stage, and we sat in my dressing room having this ridiculous conversation in which I said, "I need a phone, I can't handle my business on that stage phone."
"You can't have it, it's not in your contract."
"I know that, I'm not asking you to give it to me, I'll pay for it myself. I'll pay for the installation and the bill."
"Nope, can't do it."
"Why?"
"Because then all the other actors will want one."
"And ...?"
"And they'll think I'm paying for yours."
"I'll tell them I'm paying for it myself."
"They won't believe you. The answer is still no."
