I always felt Jon Hamm would have made a very good Captain Archer. I could easily see him sporting the ENT uniform, more easily than I could see him wear later Starfleet uniforms now that I think of it.

IIRC, either Nimoy or Harve Bennett wanted EJO for that role, but was outvoted by the other.
