What is funny and brilliant about your comment, is the Breen frigate seen in DS9 is not as asymmetrical as many people believe it to be... I mean there is an asymmetry to the design, but nowhere near the extent as say, the Lore controlled Borg Renegade ship presented in TNG. Which works, as like all things, there is a scale or gradient to consider, rather than just, it is or is not... lol

You dont even need the Dominion. You could just say that the Cardassians and Breen signed an agreement to develop a joint next generation large cruiser, which will serve in both fleets. Japan, the UK and Italy are currently jointly working on a 6th generation fighter. We can imagine that some major powers could decide to share technology and work together on a project. Maybe this is their answer to match the latest Federation ships. Let's call the Enterprise F a 9th generation ship and Cardassians and Breen decided to make a 9th generation ship together.

Indeed, but then I would have to redesign the ship, as at the moment Jem Hadar aspects have been integrated into it.

Not necessarily. Sorry, I meant that you didnt need them to be part of the Dominion to have the same design elements. I wouldnt be surprised if all the Alpha and Beta Quadrant species learned from the Borg and Dominion and started integrating some design elements from them that seem worth intergrating. Im surprised that they havent had more influence on design. Cardassians and Breen borrowing ideas from the Dominion seems reasonable.
In some cases yes, most-likely internal systems/technology, but not usually design aesthetic.
