a TREK no more!

Is there an episode from any of the Trek series that hated so bad, or found so forgetable, you will never watch it again as long as you live? Even mentioning it in this thread may cause you to have "night terrors" as you "move along home" from this thread???

I have only seen "Night Terrors" once, when it aired, and that was many years ago now. I doubt I will ever lose another hour of my life to that episode, "Shades of Grey" being another.

The bad "TOS" episodes (IMO)? And the Children Shall Lead/Spocks Brain and This Way to Eden? I could probably see myself seeing them each one more time each because at least I can watch Shatner chew the scenery.

But dud episodes from Modern Trek? I doubt I ever will see them again.

What about you? What is a STAR TREK you will never take again (awwww...wasn't that cool how I ended it? I thought so...)

Rob
Every episode of VOY. Every episode of ENT. Most of the episodes of DS9.

TOS Wink of an eye and Alternative Factor. Those are two episodes I think could actually be improved somehow. They skidded over a couple of good ideas like the lights of Zetar and the Mark of Gideon was a weak episode. Spock's brain wasn't that bad. Better than Lost in Space's walking stalks of celery and vegetables seeking moisture and Way to Eden was campy but why didn't the sound weapon destroy the crew?

I'll never watch 'Encounter at Farpoint', 'Take Me Out to the Holosuite' or 'These Are the Voyages' again. I've seen these eps enough times to know that they're like, super-suck episodes. there's probably umm, a dozen or so more eps I won't watch again, but fortunately for now, I've forgotten 'em.

This Way to Eden

The Way to Eden

The Way to Eden

Way to Eden

dammit!! where's the umm, love for the space hippies?

Heading out to eden,
Yeah brother.
Heading out to eden,
Yeah brother.
No more trouble
In my body or my mind.
Goin' to live like a king
On whatever I find.
Eat all the fruit
And throw away the rind.
Yeah brother, yeah.

Steppin' out to eden,
Yeah brother.

Comparing Lost in Space to Star Trek? That's like comparing Justin Timberlake to Bob Dylan!

I am too big of a fan of Trek not to watch a certain episode ever again. But I have been recently gotten stuck in re-watching Encounter at Farpoint, though. And haven't gotten the courage just yet to finish it.

Side Note:

Now, I know this isn't Trek, but I am also a fan of Stargate. The thing is that I will watch SGU to keep up on the universe. But overall I find it pretty darn boring. So I will never re-watch an episode of SGU ever again. Unless for some odd reason they radically change the characters and the writing or something.

So true. Dylan WISHES that he could have ever danced like Justin. But anyway...

Masks from TNG, Take Me Out to the Holosuite from DS9, and from Voyager, of course, is The Episode That Must Never Be Named.

Actually, plynch, I do have to go to Grand Rapids for a big Rotary Club event (my daughter is going India this summer), and need to get all my vaccines against too much practice time, and loss of scholarships.

Hm... Sub Rosa, Threshold and These are the voyages.

I heard these three episodes replaced waterboarding in Abu Ghraib...

That's going too far don't you think? Even the worst of Star Trek (City on the Edge of Forever, The Inner Light) is better than just about anything else.

Well, except sex.

I'm no fan of Star Trek: Voyager, so it would be no loss if I weren't to watch any episode of that series again -- or for the first time, since I've watched only about half of the series -- but one episode in particular that I recall being particularly stinky was "Threshold."
