I feel the reverse. Logan was terrible, I struggled to finish it. And Patrick Stewart saying he wanted something like Logan made me vary of Picard. But fortunately it wasn't like Logan, it was really great.

Star Trek: Picard is to Star Trek, as Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is to Star Wars, as Logan is to the X-Men film series.

The Logan connection, possibly.

The Last Jedi was great, so that rules out that connection too. And beyond that subjective opinion, I still don't see how they're alike.

Instead of saying "Discuss" and letting other people try and work it out, why not explain why you think that in the OP?

Picard makes it sound too much like Logan though, which I know is a film Stewart has said in interviews has been inspiration for this show. I hope it isn't that much because that is a very depressing movie and I don't want Star Trek to be that dark. This isn't BASG.
