Just you.Is it just me, or do the stripes on Caitian Girl's forehead look kind of like Klingon ridges? On topic though, I like the design. The style is similar enough to work as a cadet jumpsuit alongside the 2385 uniforms.

She's a Tabby Caitain.

On Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1 Episode 9, the crew forgo their dreams of Starfleet to return to Tars Lamora in a no-win scenario.
I'm not convinced this is a cadet uniform... it looks like the same uniform Chakotey was wearing. Perhaps a mission-specific uniform?
Those uniforms are definitely not the same as Chakotay's
Chakotay wore a uniform with a dark area around the shoulders (coming to a point directly below the neck) and a lighter gray on the rest of the uniform.
The dark panels on Chakotey's shoulders are larger, but that's the only difference I can discern.
Granted, he's a glitchy hologram so it may look very different when we see him in full.
Cadet version vs actual Fleet version? If you look more closely, the arms and upper torso of Chakotay’s uniform are clearly visible from the shots in both Kobayashi and First Con-tact, and they aren’t the same, and while the top portion around the neckline has similar lines, their placement isn’t the same on his frame.
They’re similar, but markedly different.

I still think that the Protostar is from farther in the future than folks are surmising.
Unless I’m mistaken, I think Chakotay started to get some salt and pepper in his hair even during the last couple of seasons of VOY.Sure, he has a white streak of hair, but he doesn’t much older than he did on Voyager to me.

EDIT: I was right!
Right! He was already salt and pepper, and his Prodigy Holo-recording doesn’t look much older than that at all. I think if the Protostar hasn’t already been launched with Chakotay by Prodigy’s 2383 it would happen sometime relatively shortly after.
Definitely. Even if it launched in 2381 or 82 I would buy Chakotay would have a little more white in that spot after 4 years.

Why is it that when we get holo recordings, it always looks like cheapo Star Wars style Holo Recordings?
With limited mono-tone color pallets and scan lines?
Why can't we get High Def Holo Recordings with Color, and no Scanlines?
Corrupted, sure; Macro Blocking, missing sections of the Holo field. To be fair, this was a ship that’s clearly been through a lot and was found derelict and abandoned in a mine for at least a couple decades. I’d buy the files are corrupted.
