A small corvette

Love it. They have a sort of anime flavor to them that I like. Are you going to have them available for download, especially for Poser and Daz?

Yeah, I'm going to have to expand that hangar a bit, it fits a standard shuttle fine but the Star Stallion is longer.

The bridge I think will be on deck 3.

When can we see a scene/render with this little corvette and your big Ken Adam/Ralph McQuarrie ship?

An update! Actually another rebuild...

Wow, that shuttle is outstanding! It reminds me of the the WW II landing craft at Normandy. Any chance the front-snout drops open for cargo and/or personnel to disembark?

I held off for a long time commenting on this thread because even though I was a huge fan of Franz Joseph Schnaubelt's Technical Manual for years and considered it canon for a long time, eventually I found myself agreeing with Gene Roddenberry's design guidelines for Federation starships. That included his stated preference for even numbers of nacelles. Despite that, this is a really neat looking ship and it keeps getting better. It would be neat to apply these design concepts to something like a TOSified Oberth.

What are you using to create these images?

Count me in as favoring a thicker "saucer", to provide for more crew quarters. Where is the bridge going to be? Any chance of putting a done directly behind the fin-like structure aft of the dish?

@publiusr - the Linus Pauling is a little ways down the road, I should really try and finish one of these lol...

@Wingsley - I hadn't planned on a cargo door to the front for the Star Stallion, but you never know, maybe a variant will do that. I use 3D Studio Max 2010 and photoshop.

Small update, started on some texture work so I can figure out where to place my last lights. There's a little error in the texture under the navigation light there, but I'll fix that before the next round.

Wow! :D Awesome work LordSarvain!!! I love this corvette!!!!

Can I just say: I like all the iterations of this that you have produced thus far - particularily the one with the oval / elipse deflector dish.

Sooooo wanting a model of this :techman:

Well done!!!!!

Some more texture work, reworking the lights and I came up with a drawbridge door for the hangar as that seemed the best approach for that opening without resorting to clamshells or force fields, which I wanted to avoid.
