Wow, that shuttle is outstanding! It reminds me of the the WW II landing craft at Normandy. Any chance the front-snout drops open for cargo and/or personnel to disembark?
I held off for a long time commenting on this thread because even though I was a huge fan of Franz Joseph Schnaubelt's Technical Manual for years and considered it canon for a long time, eventually I found myself agreeing with Gene Roddenberry's design guidelines for Federation starships. That included his stated preference for even numbers of nacelles. Despite that, this is a really neat looking ship and it keeps getting better. It would be neat to apply these design concepts to something like a TOSified Oberth.
What are you using to create these images?
Count me in as favoring a thicker "saucer", to provide for more crew quarters. Where is the bridge going to be? Any chance of putting a done directly behind the fin-like structure aft of the dish?
