Oh I see those impulse drives. They kinda looked like turrets at first. Stupid me. From an angle at first I thought--those would make nice weapons. Now I see the agility they could have if that structure swivels.

Yeah, and I agree with those who said they like the turrets. Ball turrets are nice and efficient, but every once in a while, you just want something with a large barrel.

Some new parts and modifications, added the phasers, some sensors, a couple of lights here and there and worked on the end cap of the nacelle. I went with an older style end cap...

Now it looks to have turrets as part of the impulse upper dome. Heck, that whole structure looked like a double turret.

After a bout of complete disinterest in modeling, a cranky computer that seems to have resolved whatever problems it was having on its own, changing shifts at work and losing almost all of my "me time", some progress! Started some texture work and came up with a Coast Guard-like pennant for the warp engine. I'm still tweaking the textures, they're a little flat right now, but I'm getting there. Did a little work on the hangar and made a version of the doors in the open position.

It only makes sense that the Coast Guard would have some sort of descendant.

Showing Orion pirates who's boss, amongst other things. We should have seen something like this a long time ago. I would imagine there has to be at least a dozen of them in each Federation star system.

Okay, I'm curious... is the saucer not inhabited? Shuttle and window size seem to point to it being not even half a deck high.
