A Roseanne revival? Really??

I loved the Halloween references in the episode and big news.... we will be getting a Halloween episode next year!!!! So says TVLine spoiler thingie.

Also FEMA works fine... if you are white in a state that voted for Trump.
Yay! Can't wait! :) Roseanne always did great ones.

I have a friend who suddenly lived in a flood plain when some local politicians decided to take over control of a damn upstream. Their concern was to keep the rich peoples' houses upstream from flooding, so whenever it rained, they just opened the damn all the way rather than letting the computers handle it. My friend's neighborhood was flooded out 6 times in 2 years. usually to the basement rafters, once waist-deep on the the main floor. FEMA rebuilt him and replaced his utilities every single time. So I guess they're okay.

This is one of the main reasons I'm terrified to own my own home. (Also where i live they are just too expensive)

We've had a couple of inches in the basement on occasion, usually during a VERY heavy rain, like a passing hurricane. Aside from some staining, it didn't cause much damage. we eventually had baseboard drains and a sump pump installed. Works wonders!

One of the other houses we looked at in the area (Ramapo River area in NJ) before we bought ours was actually right on the river - 20 feet of back yard, then there was the river, maybe 18" lower than the yard. The basement had a waterline stain 4-feet up the wall, and anything in the basement was hung from the ceiling. We passed on that and bought a house WAY uphill from there!

I know exactly where that is. That river floods all the time.

I lived in Rochester NY and there is a park just east of the town that floods about 20 times a year. That's the whole point of the park as it's a huge flood plain. Once this winter someone on Facebook complained that it floods to much and should be damned and such. People went 'Umm... it's why it's a park'.

Build parks not houses in flood areas!

Pompton Lakes? He told me one of the floods happened when they opened the dam suddenly during a major rain event, and a 3-foot wave surged up his block. One house near him was actually knocked sideways off its slab footing.
They resolved the dam control issue, but my friend moved away anyway. To a hill! Most of the houses in his neighborhood are still abandoned, years later.

Yeah I heard about that. I have a relative who lived near by

I just got a news alert from the AP that said the ABC entertainment president has decided to cancel the show. I don't know if this includes the season 11 renewal, but I'm guessing so. The Barr comments aside, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed about this news because I was looking forward to the next season.

I wonder if there's some way they can rework the show without Roseanne Barr and focus entirely on Darlene, which is what the revival was doing anyways. That was the part of the show I was most interested in anyways. Sara Gilbert certainly made it clear in her tweets that she was proud of the work they did despite Barr's comments, so that might be something she would want to pursue if it's a viable

If I was ABC I would be looking into continuing the show without her. It's not as crazy as it sounds.

All in the Family went on to Archie's Place after killing off the wife. Why not bring the show back where Roseanne died from her knee surgery or, even more current, ODed on her pain pills. Just change the show name to 'The Conners'.

If Roseanne Barr keeps this up she can be Trump's VP in 2020.

Wow, granted it was a repulsive comment but I'm shocked that ABC did that. I wonder if Roseanne tried to go to Starbucks today to get a latte to console herself afterwards...
