7's costume

I honestly didn't t think the seven outfit thread would be over 100 posts long. It was derailed by Project Runways wasn't it? ;-)

I used to watch it once a year. I loved seeing all the results. Now I don't watch TV. Not because I'm granola. I live with 7 people now I don t miss it enough.

You understand that it's all on the internet?

Command over the TV is irrelevant!

You can watch anything in a 2 inch square in the corner of your screen while you're trying to win the Trekbbs.

(I'm using the new John Oliver to cover up a large institutionalized prostitution ad creeping slowly towards our conversation from the right margin.)

I do understand. Long story short we live in rural area using the cheapest possible package and it can only be sattelite. Guess what? DSL speeds, low data which means no YouTube and no internet TV or face the wrath of mom when a couple videos eats her daily allotment. Yes, this fun company will ban you for 24 hrs if you go over 250mb in a day. absurd.

When you said "granola" I thought that was code for living in a small retirement home.

I imagined four entrenched 70 year olds arguing over which episodes of Matlock they wanted to watch today, which is why your command of the television was so darned impotent.

Living in the third world, I still seem to somehow download between 15 and 50 gig per day depending on what takes my fancy.

I just finished downloading 30 gigs worth of "How the West was Won" that I started yesterday, and will never watch.

Yes, I am a stinker. ;)

When I was a teen there was no internet, no cell phones, and cable was brand new. All cars had AM radio, and FM was an upgrade. If we splurged we got an 8-track player installed.

I first got internet from AOL on dialup, and that's pretty much all there was until I was well over 40.

So, sorry. I can't sympathize. ;)

That is terrible :(

I feel like saving you now.

She liked showing her attributes and they were all curves. Maybe being nude and wearing a catsuit helped her think. She was exceptional at thinking and showing her catsuit.

The more I watch voyager the more I think Janeway is the hot one. That voice and those facial expressions. Kind of varies with the haircuts though.

I'm not complaining. Just answering why I don't use online media. My complaint if any is the rate :-) -)

I hear you. I'm not a 21st century pup. I grew up playing outside dawn to dusk.
I didn't watch TNG because that was my bedtime. I got to see Voyager because I got an upgraded bedtime at age 14. There were no computers, CD, Walk man's, video games, one TV owned by parental unit as it should be, and we were lucky to have a VCR.

Worth it because I got great sleep, fresh air, good posture, and I don't own a smart phone to this day. I am a minimalist.

Does Seven know that she is attractive?

Men could be so evolved by the 24th century that women have forgotten to expect to be defiled instantly and completely by men's idle thoughts.

You're saying the degree of her hotness varied on which style, correct?

Nothing sexy about the bun. Great knot work but not sexy. :p

But I'm a sucker for Janeway. She's a different caliber of sexy. She exudes it in her personality and facial expressions and the right emphasis with her make up and style.

But back to Jeri as it's a seven thread: Seven is lovely. I disagree with Jeri Taylor in that she was in total denial about the sexy rating. Yes, just because you are hot doesn't mean you're vulnerable nor equired to wear things to make us feel better. However it's what it represented that I think offended fans more. Intentional titillation.

Here's the thing about the bun not being hot.

Kathy was seven years younger when she had the bun.

Younger isn't always hotter, but when it's a single persons own timeline, the elements that derive their hotness changes, even if the overall final score doesn't.

You watch Voyager in order, quickly or slowly, you don't notice Janeway getting seven years older, but if you watch Caretaker again immediately after Endgame finishes, you will be shocked.

She did get hotter over time.

I noticed about season five or six (aging) but I attributed but also a drastic make-up change. I don't know what entry level grad did her make up sometimes but she went from light subtle ness to a bit crazy on the blush to that hideous lip color of season six maybe-it was seven. Beige lip and synthetic helmet hair wasn't flattering.

I warmed up to the dark eye shade of season five and is my second favorite look with season four my top fave.

She used to be in peach tones and a red lip in the early years. Eye gradually darkening.

I guess it (dark plum metalic shade) was intended as to show her transformation from secure AQ brat to tough DQ captain with a touch of angst. I might be giving them too much creativity credit :-)

They darkened Seven's eye too. Must have been the trend.
