The Tom Baker-era TARDIS (hey, he lives there!), and when I wanted a break from traveling the universe, I'd live in Windemere (the creepy castle on Spoon Island where the Cassadine family lives on
General Hospital). Both places are big, fascinating, and there's room for my books and my cats. Plus, Windemere comes with a butler, catacombs, a mad scientists' laboratory, and a bottomless pit where I could shove the JWs and salesmen who come to the door.

About 10 years ago (I don't travel much anymore). I went to Calgary for the weekend to visit a friend and we took a drive out to Banff-Canmore and went up to Lake Minnewanka. It's beautiful there in April - a bit chilly, but not too bad. The lake was still mostly frozen over, and it was incredibly quiet and relaxing.

My SCA costumes.
12.Where were you on September 11, 2001?
In bed, until a friend phoned me and told me to turn on the TV and explain to her what was going on (it was just after the first tower had been hit and before the second tower was hit). I listened to CBC Newsworld, and told her that if it was an unfortunate accident, the early-morning newscaster (Ben Chinn) would stay on the air. If they decided it was a terrorist act, they'd get Peter Mansbridge (the chief news anchor) out of bed and have him take over - which they did, and Mansbridge stayed on-air for the next day or so. I spent the day in front of the TV, in various stages of shock, anger, and horror at what was going on.

20.Describe something that's happened to you for which you have no explanation.
My grandmother died in July 1997, and I had her cremated. The only safe place to keep her ashes was in the broom closet on the front porch, and one Saturday morning I found the broom closet door ajar and the front door open. This freaked me out somewhat, since it had been my grandmother's habit to go shopping on Saturday mornings. I was in the habit of locking the door, so to this day I don't know how this happened.
