Spoilers 31st/32nd Century Ships Revealed

We had an introduction to some captains last season.

They aren't really making much of the Fed HQ fleet. When we do see a good closeup of a newer ship, one that actually matters to the story, it's not from this fleet, it's probably an antique, and it uses a reused set from the Discovery.

Not as much as a spoiler as an observation. In the trailer for the next episode, we see the top of the Constitution-class, Eisenberg-class, and Friendship-class ships. For the former, the "U.S.S." and the "NCC-" are visible on the hull; however, there is no name or registry for the ship. This reminds me of the wrecked ships we saw in the early episodes of season 3. Which begs the question, how much labeling is there on these ships and is it complete or only partially complete?

The Constitution class had a name on it, it was just hard to make out given the shot in the trailer was 2 seconds long and i was watching on my laptop.

We saw multiple background ships with names and registries on them last season like the USS Nog, USS Dresselhaus, USS Noble, USS Armstrong, USS Yang, USS Song.

I was playing the video at the normal light resolution on my desktop. Did you happen to brighten the video? And, could you see if the ship had a complete registry?

You’d think they at least introduce the captain of Voyager or another starship. They REALLY need to do this asap.
President Rillak is choosing a new captain for Voyager-J. Until proven otherwise, I want to think that Captain Joe Zimmerman has finally retired after centuries of service to Starfleet.

This week, we will see more of the exterior and interior of a 32nd century shuttle, the UFP11. It's not exactly the same as seeing the inside of a starship, but it will have to do for now.

I wonder if we’ll ever see flashbacks to previous centuries that used to be the future, eg 26th or 29th?
Of if any current ship could be identified as being from earlier centuries than the 31st. Imagine seeing the wreckage of a 29thC Wells class ship!

It is interesting thing about the trailers and the clips this season. They are not exactly like the final product. In an earlier clip, there is a mention of a starship in the background chatter. In the episode, the background chatter seems to be different, with no mention of the ship. Now, comparing the trailer and what is seen in the episode, the VFX crew added a name and a number to the Connie. It's the Noble.

NuBSG had that problem. I remember seeing whole scenes in the "Previously on..." opener that never appeared in prior episodes. I would look at my wife and say, "did we see that?" She would always shake her head "no". Very confusing... and frustrating,.

One of the main reasons why when I rewatch BSG, it's on physical media where the extended versions of the episodes are available. Definitely makes the show much easier to follow.

Not the first time this has happened. The temporal agent from last season, had a TNG movie era badge in the preview, but it was edited to a TNG series badge in the final episode.
