But did I hear Rush correctly when he was talking to Wray? She said something like, "if I didn't know better, I'd say you're being nice". And he responded that she was correct: she didn't know better.

However it went, the exchange left me with the impression that Rush had another scheme going behind the idea of giving Chloe back to them.

My impression was that he was getting frustrated with the fact that everyone seems to think he's always an asshole for being an asshole's sake. He's not House, he doesn't jerk people around because it's fun for him. He jerk's people around because he's an extremely angry widower who's surrounded by people don't respect his priorities (as far as he's concerned).

While it seemed things were resolved too quickly and easily this episode was far more interesting to me than most. No stones. No montages.
