I wonder if that's why she was left out of the admirals' briefing last week?An all female boarding party! Is that a first? Woohooo!I really like Cornwell, good to see her again. Let's hope she isn't too embroiled in the S31 leadership.
Glad that the the wider supporting cast of the Bridge crew is getting some screen love. More of this the better. An all female boarding party! Is that a first? Woohooo!I really like Cornwell, good to see her again. Let's hope she isn't too embroiled in the S31 leadership.
Yeah, I am a bit concerned for Nhan at this point. Fingers crossed that she's not a casualty.
Yep, same. I don't want her to die, I want her as regular on the eventual Pike spin-off!Yeah, I am a bit concerned for Nhan at this point. Fingers crossed that she's not a casualty.
They seem to have ditched the initial engineer idea in favour of security. I'm happy with that.
Gotta say, you would wonder why Enterprise's chief engineer wouldn't stay aboard with the ship in such a mess -- and so it turned out in the end.
I hope her red-shirt past doesn't catch up with her...!!
And that may have been Pike wanting to bring her for the mission but not wanting to draw unnecessary attention that a security officer might be needed (at least that's my head canon).I don't think she was ever meant to be Pike's Chief Engineer (Louvier is currently), but she was definitely called an engineering officer when she first beamed over.

...By people aboard the Discovery, ignorant of who exactly was coming, and unable to communicate except through Morse code. Perhaps Nhan never was an engineer at all?
As for Louvier, the very fact that this character is being discussed between Pike and Number One suggests there's a heavy emphasis on "currently" there. Might be Louvier is merely in charge of putting the ship back together, while the actual CEO is somebody else. Might have been Nhan for all we know. (At full Commander rank, she wouldn't be any lower sort of an engineer!)
Interesting that Airiam wears (needs?) a spacesuit.

It isn't supposed to be all female. Spock and a few other men are going with them, but Section 31 blocks the transport of everyone but the women. An all female boarding party! Is that a first?
