Ooooh, Cover B of the first issue features an Andorian! The previous mini-series had some great alternative cover art, making it hard to choose -- and sometimes I bought both.

Re: Redshirts -- I'm just not a fan of "everyone dies" stories. It's why I ultimately decided to pass on "Coda".
It was the art in Issue #1 that made me not continue with Red Shirts, rather than the plot.
Now we have a comment on Lower Decks, I wonder if Last Starship will be allowed to continue to #12 and then quietly cancelled ahead of Legacy and Zero Point.
Well, that is unfortunate, but at least it’s good to know for sure. Although I think I preferred the writing before Ryan North left, LD was still one of my favourite series out of all the recent ones.

Seasons 1-5 of "Lower Decks" on DVD have each used a parody movie poster. I wonder if this one was made to honour this sequence, or is it actual unused art, never used on a DVD because there was no Season 6?
Out today, it's the IDW Classics reprint of Star Trek: Lower Decks #1, which comes in a regular and foil edition. I've been able to avoid all the foil craziness so far, but IDW got me twice today, one for this book and one for a Rocketeer reprint.
No pictures because pasting has been disabled by fate itself. Also, the foil cover photographs horribly, you'll want to see it in person to really get the ken of it. It's also a great reminder of how great an author Ryan North is!
