The second picture seems to show the main character from the first miniseries 20 years later.
I haven't heard about it before either. Sounds interesting, I wonder if there will be any connections between it and the original Red Shirts?

IDW editor Heather Antos recently told the "Star Trek Comics Weekly" FB page:
"The series has ended for this current point in time. Hopefully sales of the trades help encourage future series! Never fear, there is ONE more 'Lower Decks' comics story I know of that hasn't been announced yet..."
Re: Redshirts -- I'm just not a fan of "everyone dies" stories. It's why I ultimately decided to pass on "Coda".

Yeah, I felt it went klunk immediately after North left, and dropped it.Yeah, I'm disappointed to hear about Lower Decks, and I do agree about writing. It was definitely better under Ryan North, although this last story arc was almost back up to his quality.
