2026 Comics Thread

Scripted as Caitians. There was a pic of a wide range of latex appliances laid out on a table -- some very cat-like -- made to be attached to the actresses, but not all of those pieces were chosen.
Oh, OK thanks for the info.
Last we saw her in Picard she was 400 years old, so I just assume that she's effectively immortal. Either that or the one we saw in the season 2 finale was already another iteration/clone/whatever like you're suggesting.
I'm not sure how things work with the Borg Queens, I've never been sure if the Susanna Thompson and Alice Krige versions were supposed to look different, or if it was just another Saavik kind of situation where we're supposed to pretend they were both identical.
I'd really love to see this again. Maybe not all single issue stores, but an ongoing with a focus on 1-3 part stories, preferably ones that aren't about massive stakes or conspiracies.

Oddly, the Star Trek: Lower Decks series probably came closest to scratching that itch in recent years.
Yeah, I don't think we ever got more than a 3 or 4 issue arc on the Lower Decks comic.

Not looking forward to this one. I don't like illusion/dream stories and the previous two Deviations were not very good.
I'm not sure what to make of this one. From the description it doesn't sound like it's much of a Deviation, just a dream story. If you're going to do an alternate universe story, I'd prefer to see it be very alternate universe.
I did enjoy the TNG Deviations issue, but it really should have been more than one issue. It deserved a deeper exploration than what we could get in only one issue.

Not sure when the Recollection Webtoon series started, but so far it’s very annoyingly written.

Thanks for the reminder! I didn't know it was out yet. I will have to check it out.

The problem I'm having with these Webtoon series is, because I have to go to a website to read it, I just keep... forgetting. I don't recall where I left off with Stargazers, but I'm probably way behind.

I honestly bounced off Stargazers — it seemed to just be a domestic cozy that happened to be randomly set on Deep Space Nine for some reason. And the writing style of Recollection is likely to keep me from bothering any further with it. Oh well.

If you install the Webtoon app it will remind you when a new episode is out for a series you're reading.

I'm actually kind of digging Recollection so far.

Stargazers is absolutely not for me. The characters are constantly getting on my nerves. Based on the comments on each episode it seems like people are enjoying it, but I'm just not seeing the appeal. But I don't see why it's a Star Trek story or why it's set on Deep Space 9, and unless it's set decades after the show (and the costumes indicate otherwise) the Changeling hairdresser character feels like a very weird fit.

I just skimmed through the first couple "episodes" of Stargazers, and I don't really see anything that screams Star Trek. I admit I wasn't actually reading, but just based off of the artwork, there doesn't seem to be anything Star Treky about it. Do they at least work in characters from the show in later episodes?
