For a second I thought that meant that they were bringing back the short story anthology with the fan submitted material until it clicked that it meant the TV show.
They did. But as an E-book-only release, and with some kind of deal with a subsidy-publishing subsidiary. Which is kind of like "First prize is a 1-week vacation in Newark, NJ; second prize is a 2-week vacation in Newark, NJ," only worse, given that known subsidy imprints (especially if they're known vanity subsidy imprints) are where books go to die.
Be that as it may, I'd love to see a SNW novel from JS.
What @ATimson said. For two years, I worked for a software publisher, that specialized in the Commodore Amiga, and we had not only a block of ISBNs, but one of UPCs as well, to apply to our products.
Since my present employer doesn't deal in software that ever gets sold through any retail channel (and it's been many years since we last shipped a product on physical media, in an actual box, with a hardcopy manual), we never bothered to obtain anything of that sort.
Are you referring to the 2016 revival? That was 8 years ago now (which, to be fair, I can barely wrap my mind around)! I don't think there's any chance anyone was referring to that.
