I work at Wal-Mart, and I've seen quite a few kids walking through the store with books in their hands. All the new forms of media may have taken quite a bit of attention away from books, but there are still a lot of people, both adults and kids, out there reading.

I mean, the writer does reference them, but did you look at the link he gave to what he was referencing, tomswift2002? The link does give the specific numbers, by the way, JD:



They're declining, but they're still a huge part of the market. We're beyond the "EBOOKS ARE GOING TO REPLACE PRINT" peak we were seeing about 4 years ago, sure, but it isn't like they're dying. They're still the largest segment of the Adult fiction category, and they still make up 14% of the trade book market as a whole.

I just got “Fire With Fire” and on the page across from the title page it lists the 2 Prometheus books to come with “The Root Of All Rage” with a May 2018 release date and “In The Heart Of Chaos” given a November 2018 release date.

Ah, cool. I was wondering why so many people were saying Book 3 would be out next November, since it isn't up for pre-order yet.

When “The Root Of All Rage” was first announced, I was guessing at November for book 3, because we’ve got 6 months from 1 (November 2017) to book 2 (May 2018), so November 2018 is six months after May, so that just seemed logical.

The authors note mentions that events related to the “Prey” trilogy are referenced and vice versa (“Prey” also references these books).

So there will probably be cameos.

Legal contracts can take a while, especially when new shareholders of the contract are introduced (as it seems to be) and the very scope of the contract seems to be in question.
