I don't agree, they won and it's customary to receive the rings on the field. As with all awards that were handed out at the beginning of the season.
The Giants might just be entering the Dodgers heads and it's only week one of the season. How can you take a pitcher who has a no hitter through 7 1/3 out of the game? I've been hearing both sides of the argument about pitch counts and it was a rookie, and he just had Tommy John, but a No Hitter kind of trumps all that doesn't it? It's also the first week of the season where the Arm should be fresh. This was a move that indeed backfired.
