Between him and Trump, what is it with the whining over things being fixed when you're not winning? Total loser mentality, setting the stage with an excuse for why you weren't handed a free victory. Want to win? Play better.
Personally, that would be a huge red flag for me when considering him in the off-season. I want to see him fighting back, not making excuses for the next loss he knows is coming.

It's not a secret that I don't like him, but I am in the minority of Blue Jays fans on that one. Some have postulated that he has already checked out and after that non-catch in right field last night, I tend to agree.

Actually, as I sit here in my recliner with my dog at my feet, I'm finding that, surprisingly, I do not, in fact, have to choose a side regarding one Jose Bautista, and the world is not flinging me into outer space as a consequence.
Amazing.
Arrieta hasn't been stellar since the first half, but getting shut out last night was hardly his fault.

Now Bautista is saying Game Five starter Merritt will be "shaking in his boots" to face the Jays lineup. *facepalm* This is a guy batting .100 in this series and couldn't make a standard catch in the field in game three. He is clearly not the leader on this team anymore, having been replaced by Tulo, Donaldson, Martin and even Encarnacion. He's become nothing but a sound-byte and one of the most hated players in the league.
Let's be fair, though -- outside of a lights-out April and May of this year, Arrieta hasn't been stellar since September of last year. And while the team's offense has been a wet rag, four runs on six hits (including two dingers) in five innings, in a game that was must-win considering they're staring another Kershaw start in the face, is far from what the team needed.
