2012 Academy Awards show

Christopher Guest's posse!
Though I'll agree Jessica Chastain would probably have been a worthy winner as well -- she was excellent in everything I saw her in recently (The Tree of Life, The Debt, Take Shelter... I wonder if perhaps she was nominated for the wrong film).
Of the three I've seen, The Help had the most range, from comedy to tragedy, and she excelled at both.

Best editing: Surprise win! And a good choice, too.

I love that we have to have a bunch of montages and skits, and sit through goddamned Cirque du Soleil, but we can't have the two fucking nominees for Best Original Song performed.

Shit: Major surprise on Dragon Tattoo winning Editing.

Geez. When remakes win Oscars, now more of them will be made. All those original movies up there, and The Academy pics the remake for editing?

Given how the sound categories work, this probably means Hugo will win the other one too.

Edit: Yup.

That's probably it for Hugo this evening. Though it could conceivably tie The Artist if two more categories break against it (Actor and Original Screenplay).

What does that have to do with anything? Remakes have been winning since the beginning, and it's not like Fincher and co. just copied the other guys.

It was veeery close to the original movie. Every note hit in the remake was in the original. It wasn't Psycho remake bad, but very close.

No joke -- if anything, the Fincher Dragon Tattoo hews a lot closer to the source material than the Swedish version, and the Fincher version is a hell of a ride, especially for anyone who's never seen the original or never read the book(s).

It's Tony Stark and Pepper potts

"Relax Honey"

RDJ is in Stark mode. I wouldn't be surprised if Tony Stark did a reality show
