2011 Ships Of The Line Images

^Brown woulda been better - but to be honest the hair just looks like a bad photoshop to me. The earlier look was better, IMO.

I love the nuTrek stuff on the calender! The Kelvin one's from Richter's awesome Fed-Con video, right?

According to Drexler, they're animations based on the images created for various Ships of the Line calendars. The current calendar includes a Tobias Richter image of the Kelvin which would've been the basis for this. I imagine he used the same 3D model to create that still and this animation that he did for his earlier animation. It's possible the calendar image is just a clip from that video, but that's not the impression I got from the intro.

Personally, I'd love to see more of the ringship Enterprise.

It from the cover of the German translation of Gods of Night (Gotter der Nocht). The German publisher Cross Cult has been doing translations of Trek in German since Feb. '08. Alot of them have had alternate covers. My personal Favorite is A Stitch in Time.

Actually it's not from the final cover, but from an earlier version of the cover (they changed it (and Ezri's hairstyle) again shortly before the release).

Here's the version SPCTRE's avatar is from:

And this is the final version:

I had thought so, then when I searched Google Images, the other cover kept coming up with the other shot of Ezri so I wasn't sure.

The one in your avatar is way better... In fact, I found all of the German Destiny covers way better than the North American ones...

I have to agree with both there. I actually think the first is way better than that second one. I just couldn't believe Nicole cut her hair alittle shorter again when she was on the first episode of Haven a few weeks ago.

The images for the calendar are based on completely new scenes - with reworked version of both the Kelvin (minor revisions) and the Enterprise (around 70% reworked) to match the movie models even more. The FedCon video was produced before the movie was out - with very limited references - so after the revisions the ships are very close to the originals.
