2011 MLB Season Discussion

Wow. The Jays' bullpen, heretofore the best in baseball, just blew a 7-0 lead against the Mariners. I'm just fucking speechless

I'm glad I didn't decide to watch the game tonight.

I wish I was that wise  I almost turned it off after the 7th when the score was 7-1, but the marathon game against the Angels rang in the back of my head and I was like "I guess anything can happen." Boy, was I right.

Every single reliever was total shit and couldn't throw a strike to save their life. Most notably, Dotel, who really impressed me in the marathon game faced exactly two batters and walked in two runs. Just a fucking disgraceful performance all around.

The real kicker is that the offense beat the living shit out of Felix "Cy Young" Hernandez and got him pulled from the game. And then that happens? Jesus Christ...

Barry Bonds guilty of obstruction of justice, but no verdict on the three other counts of lying to a grand jury.

They might not want to waste the money, and that would be okay. But I'd sure as hell be happy if they wanted to take another crack at him.

Eh, it's pretty much a Who Cares? at this point. You want to argue he hurt the integrity of baseball or something, that's fine, but when it comes to a societal interest overall, it's not that big of a deal.

^Pretty much what I think.

Good for going after him for cheating the criminial justice system, but I agree that enough is enough. Don't waste more time, effort and money going after him. I don't care if he did drugs or not, it was entertaining to watch him. Go lock up some axe murderer rapist kiddie toucher instead next time.

indeed. Honestly, up don't get why congress got involved in the first place. Certainly there were more important things to do

^ Perhaps. But this WILL send a message:

- Get off the damn 'roids
- Don't perjure oneself in court
- Don't be a lying, cheating thug

If Bonds' situation helps get any of that out, I'll call it even.

I doubt it. If he gets community service and no retrial, it might say don't do steroids, but it certainly doesn't say "don't perjure yourself."
