1st trailer for "Snow White & The Huntsman"

Totally went in expecting it would be awful and it looks....decent? WTF?!

Yeah I found the trailer to be surprisingly cool as well. Love the imagery and the dark, moody tone it has.

Still on the fence about Stewart as Snow White, but the rest looks really damn good.

I think it looks awful and I cannot stand Kristen Stewart. :ack:

yeah, that looks really good. kinda feels like Ridley Scott's Robin Hood mixed with fantasy.

Looks interesting. And as it seems I'm one of the few who wasn't beaten up by Kristen Stewart or lost a loved one by her hand, so... I might give it a look.

A blonde Evil Queen, cool!

Interesting how they didn't even let Kristen Stewart talk.

Ginnifer Goodwin looks so damn much like Snow White that I have a hard time visualizing anyone else in the role.

Anyway, it's a lock for the Twi-hard crowd.

Yeah I don't really understand the hatred either. She was pretty good in Into the Wild, and I thought did a decent job with the material she was given in the one Twilight movie I saw.

I do think there are a ton of actresses who would have made for better Snow Whites though.

I can only speak for myself...she doesn't appeal to me at all...those movies don't help...I know there was a rumor about her possibly being Lois Lane in 'Man Of Steel' and I prayed it wouldn't happen. If people like her, fine...but some people don't.

Fine... However you seemed to transpose your dislike of her onto the entire trailer. How anyone can see this trailer and think that it "looks awful" is beyond me... But tastes do differ, and I guess this might be proof of that.

I love the idea of taking a classic tale and undoing the "Disney-ification" it received (though, Maleficent-as-dragon was pretty bad-ass). The trailer sets the right tone. I wonder if the film itself is up to the task ...

I want to be impressed, but I've been let down by so many movies over the last few years that it's really hard. I was turned off the second I saw "from the producer of Alice in Wonderland."

That's really not what they're doing here.

That said, it looks visually interesting.

Kristen Stewart is a talented actress, Twilight aside; she's primarily the star of little-seen indie movies otherwise.

That actually looks...really great. Tarsem is an extremely talented visualist, and it seems like he's finally found a blend of substance and a budget than can match his stylistic eye and flair for visual storytelling.

Except this is not a Tarsem film. :) His film is called "Mirror, Mirror", and will come out around the same time: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1667353/

This film, "Snow White & The Huntsman" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1735898/ ) - is directed by Rupert Sanders, apparently a first time feature director.
