1960's and risqué clothes?

I don't recall that scene. Can you tell us what episode you're referring to? A plot, a guest star, anything? :sigh:
Nope, sorry it was a night when I came in late and missed at least half of it.
The girl was wearing a yellow minidress I believe. I think it may have went to commercial, or I walked away again right after the scene.
I watch it on a channel "H and I"
I'm not sure they even show them in order.

Wow good memory.
Still not sure if it answers the question whether she wore a skort or not. Does it? And anyway was it just her. She was the main female star of TOS at the time.

When you sit next to Grace at the convention banquet, you remember EVERYTHING! ;)

Grace did not call it a "skort" (skirt/short) in 1982. Just said that the material was cleverly designed and sewn to wrap one thigh, thus keeping the hem more secure. They were not culottes, which are fully divided.

I suspect Marianna Hill's mini uniform may have been different. It seems to ride up in her episode. Grace hated that episode because, originally, many of Helen Noel's lines were written for Rand.

I also recall the first time I heard the word "skant" (skirt/pant). It was for the TNG version.

Was "the girl" a brunette and was she being helped up from the floor by a blondish guy also in a goldish-green shirt?

I'm just not familiar with the episodes at all.
This is really my first time watching them.
Reading the descriptions of the episodes, most seem to say "Kirk" and " woman" a lot. :wtf:
I am intrigued. Yellow or Gold ( as we TOS fans like to say) skirts are pretty rare as key characters. Uhura wore Gold in a couple of episodes. Balance of Terror features a goldskirt in a guest starring role. But that's about it. Blue and red were the colors of choice for guest stars. Gold was for background.

Yeah, there's Angela Martine (in gold) in Balance of Terror and Shore Leave. Then there's Ensign Jana Haines manning navigation and the science station in "Gamesters of Triskelion," and Lt. Rhada at the helm in " That Which Survives. "

Martine might have had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction in front of the camera but I can't think of any other gold-uniformed female officer in a skirt that got close camera attention that lasted more than a couple of seconds except Uhura in her first two episodes. And the aforementioned Lt. Rhada, but she remained seated for all of her scenes, didn't she?

I just put on the scene from "Balance of Terror" that I think comes closest to fitting Nakita Akita's description.

The camera is set low to the ground to get Angela in shot lying face down on the floor, the top of her head towards the camera. She rises to a standing position with Tomlinson's help, and Tomlinson leads her out of shot to the audience's left. As this is happening, the camera stays in position and we get a brief pantyshot from the front as Angela exits.

At no time does she pass directly over the camera or look to be stepping over the cameraman's legs.

Seriously, it's a blink and you'll miss it moment. I've watched this story regularly since 1979, and I missed it until tonight until I went specifically looking for it to check out a bunch based on Nakita's gold dress comment and wracking my brains to come up with a scene that came closest to her description of events.

Angela and her guy do fit the description:

That seems to be the case, yeah. But also Rahda was in gold.

Was she at least wearing the gold dress?
Seriously, 13 inch diagonal tube TV, I probably walked into the room, maybe elevtric toothbrush in my mouth:hugegrin:.
Probably not my best moment for retention of facts.
:ack:

@Therin of Andor I don't think that image of HN is from the episode. HN isn't wearing black nail polish:

This shot does provide a good view of the garments being discussed.

Okay, I'm glad I didn't walk in with my electric toothbrush going and see that one on the bottom( no pun intended).
Just sayin'
So are there some of us thinking that there is not the slight possibility the ol' Gene R. Was using the
"Women's lib" stuff for his (and male viewers, for the most part) for personal gratification?:lol::lol::lol::lol::guffaw:
