Superman and Batman co-starred in World's Finest Comics for several decades. Yeah, Bruce and Lex have met a few times.

Bentley was apparently Sony's preferred choice to play Spider-man in the Sam Raimi movies, but they let Raimi have his preferred choice of Toby Maguire.
Bentley has just joined Nolan's Interstellar, so probably someone has just made up a story out of that. But I guess it's conceivable that the story is true. I think he could be an interesting choice, actually.

Has anyone else suggested David Boreanaz as Batman? Well, I am. He's got the look, he's got experience with action/fight scenes, and he's already played a haunted vigilante fighting evil.
I'd prefer somebody attractive.
David Boreanaz as Batman would be great. Plus, we'd finally get a David S. Goyer superhero movie would finally have a Batman played by a good actor. But, it would never happen. If Boreanaz was in it, he'd just dominate the movie and push Superman and superman's supporting cast out of the spot light with his awesomness as batman.
