‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

That is awesome! I'm a big fan of Simmons, but he honestly never would have occured to me as possibility for Gordon. I wonder if he'll have the mustache?

No, it's not. It blows, actually, since apart from being distracting on its own merits (yeah, yeah, other actors have played multiple superhero movie roles, but Simmons IS J.J.J.), I can't imagine this bodes anything but doom for hopes that Marvel/Sony will Judi Dench him intro reprising the role in the new MCU Spider-Man.

I'd have preferred Oldman reprise the role over this, but really, all kinds of graying actors could have easily fit the bill. Booooo.

For those interested in such things, the latest issue of Muscle & Fitness has a rather short article (interspersed among the myriad ads for worthless supplements) about how Affleck and Cavill bulked up for their roles in this movie, with some training tips. If I recall correctly, Cavill gained about 20 more pounds for BvS than for MoS. The cover photo is pretty cool.

I think the difference here is that I'm not that attached to him playing Jameson any more. He was great in the role, but I've come to associate him with Will Pope and Tenzin more the JJJ. Besides, he's already JJJ again in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, so I don't see where he would need to reprise the role in the movies again too.

Yeah his Jameson was so cartoonish and over the top that I have no problem separating it from the actor or any of his other performances, And I imagine he'll disappear into this role the same way he has all his others.

We've started getting in tons of BvS toys at the Wal-Mart where I work over the last couple weeks. I got myself the BvS Wonder Woman Funko Pop yesterday. I almost got the Aquaman one too, but I'd already spent a bunch of money on other stuff and didn't want to spend more.

I saw an ad for Target last night that had kids wearing Batman and Superman apparel, and also had the kids making their Bats and Supes dolls fight. I think there might also have been a girl in WW PJs, but it was only a flash and I couldn't tell.
