I called it--like two years ago or something--Batman's boot on Superman's neck!
No, it's not. It blows, actually, since apart from being distracting on its own merits (yeah, yeah, other actors have played multiple superhero movie roles, but Simmons IS J.J.J.), I can't imagine this bodes anything but doom for hopes that Marvel/Sony will Judi Dench him intro reprising the role in the new MCU Spider-Man.That is awesome! I'm a big fan of Simmons, but he honestly never would have occured to me as possibility for Gordon. I wonder if he'll have the mustache?
I think the difference here is that I'm not that attached to him playing Jameson any more. He was great in the role, but I've come to associate him with Will Pope and Tenzin more the JJJ. Besides, he's already JJJ again in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, so I don't see where he would need to reprise the role in the movies again too.No, it's not. I'd have preferred Oldman reprise the role over this, but really, all kinds of graying actors could have easily fit the bill. Booooo.![]()
Yeah, they may be both be authority figures, but we are talking about very different characters here.Yeah his Jameson was so cartoonish and over the top that I have no problem separating it from the actor or any of his other performances
