All this DC news makes me so happy.

I liked what I saw about Aquaman.

I thought they would use a different Flash for the movies, instead of Barry, but that's ok. The fingerless gloves are neat.

Fisher's Cyborg also sounds really cool. I'm a big TT fan and I'm glad to see Cyborg's exposure increase. Now if only Raven could get out of the Titans' shadow.

Looking forward to their take on Aquaman. Looks really good. Not too keen on another Flash though.
Yeah, I ended up skipping that one. Didn't interest me at all. Feeling more hyped for Cyborg though. SO much potential - if only they don't screw it up.
Maybe they should get the Wachowskis to direct it? They're probably pretty cheap at the moment. ;)

Those videos were interesting. Like a few other people have said, I don't really care about The Flash. We've already got a great Flash on TV, and I seriously doubt the DC movie people are talented enough to make a version who is even remotely as good as the TV one. It will be interesting to learn more about the other characters as time goes on.

I can't help but wonder how they are going to handle the Atlantis scenes in the Aquaman movie. Most of the times I've seen movies or TV shows try to do complex underwater scenes like that it ends up pretty bad.
The first thing to pop in my head is almost always this:

I guess they could do it with green screen effects and flying harnesses for the swimming, but I have to wonder how well they'll be able to pull it off.

Yeah it's definitely a tall order, although Ezra Miller does come across really well in the clip and I think has the potential to be a great Flash, as long as the story is good.

Honestly, I thought Miller was really goofy in that clip, definitely not someone I'd want playing a superhero. Even if they get a good Flash script (which is possible if Snyder isn't allowed to touch it) I don't really want to see Miller in the role. I'm obviously going to see both Justice League and Flash, but of the main Justice League that has been cast so far, Miller might actually be more out of place as Flash than Gadot is as Wonder Woman. But, to be fair, even Miller isn't as bad as Jared Leto's Joker, but that's probably impossible anyway.

I don't think how "goofy" someone comes across during interviews has any relevance to their acting abilities. If that were the case Jeniffer Lawrence would be the worst actress ever...

I like most of this, but why do the movies feel they need to repeat the same current status quo of The Flash that is playing out on the television show. It is only a recent change to a character with a 70 year history. Surely they could have come up with something different from the wealth of mythos to draw from?

Really, if their going to just use a lot of the same backstory from the series then why not just get Grant to play the role? It then ties the television world into the movies and you have the core Justice League plus nearly all of of the seventies JLA to pull from.

I just watched The Flash clip and Miller came across as someone who could play a version of The Joker. Maybe it was the appearence, but it will be weird seeing a movie Flash when the TV Flash has been developed really really well.

I'm honestly really surprised DC allowed a Flash TV series that starred Barry Allen and featured the same basic backstory that their upcoming cinematic Barry Allen Flash will have.

Might be because the TV show is so popular they don't wanna veer too much off from what is recognizable to an already pretty big fanbase.

I'm confused, is DC not making terrible decisions suddenly? I've been conditioned to expect incompetence from them. This actually looks rad.

Didn't the backstory also come from Geoff Johns, who's working on both the shows and movies for DC?
If it's all from him, then I could see him sticking with the backstory he established in the comics.
We've already heard the movie Wonder Woman is using the newly established backstory from the New 52 comics, and I have a feeling any other versions that come out in the next few years will probably use it too.

Really how is it different from batman having an established backstory that is Broadly similar across media versions?
