New To Voyager

PEOPLE DIED!

O-oh... oh god.
Btw, I just watched Season 2's Death Wish. That's the first episode, so far, that I've hated. I want to wretch my own heart from my chest just saying that I hated an episode which featured the Q, but yes. I hated it.

My hatred started as a budding thought, festering in the soil of logic-over-plot: They freed a Q. She should ask them to return Voyager to Earth.

Then the seed sprouted, its leafy steams desperately reaching toward the light of ever-burning dissension: Why is Janeway doing this trial? Why are the Q just going along with it as if a mortal has any ground to make demands to them? Why is she not asking for them to return her back to Earth?

By the end of the episode, the tree of seething vitriol bloomed and shadowed my thoughts with vibrant rage: SHE HAD A CHANCE TO GO HOME AND SHE DIDNT TAKE IT!

We can argue she wouldn't compromise morals but at the end of the day, she selfishly decided her moral comfort was far more important than seeing her loved ones again; and if some of the crew resented her before, oh my god they'll detest her after this. Wow!

TNG:True Q.

Two Q were executed by the state.

Does this make you feel worse of better?

It helped water the plant of hatred. The Q are afraid to let a Q off himself but they've offed other Q before. What's worse is that the episode even brings up this point, when Q tries to, unconvincingly, explain how certain times called for execution and yet... the mere existence of execution of other Q proves that their fear of Q death is pointless because they know the effects already.

Worst episode by far. It completely undermines the focus of the central theme - to go home.

In your living room is there a way to "assume crash positions"?

Scorpion is quite good.

I'm actually not looking forward to it because I have a feeling it's going to be really good and then I'll have to wait a week for S4 to show up on my doorstep to see the conclusion.

I actually like Q!

Well, the Q. Not the other Q (or Quinn as he called himself).

But I have mixed emotions about the episode. Some really good moments but the whole suicide thing is a bit too serious for my taste.

However, in my ratings I gave it 3 out of 5.

I also watched "Distant Origins" and found it boring.

The opposite here for me. I like that episode.

StarTrek.com is streaming all of Voyager legally for free.

It's almost like they've given up trying to wring money out of us.

Yeah it is FREE. LEGAL. FOR U.

Peoples just take it take it all and buy the dvd's later as you can if you want but take the star trek, the free legal star trek NOW

Do you resent Star Trek for giving it away, after you spent all those years working your ass off to afford box sets?

"The video you requested is not available for your geographic region."

I resent other people not appreciating the free stuff that is bestowed upon them.

I mean I never had free options I had to suffer and bleed and watch ex-rentals I had purchased which rolled and had snow on them and had distorted sound. NO ONE ever gave me any freeness and yet people with freeness just go MEH I WILL BUY IT and then don't watch it because they can't buy it because, money.

Noooo, they ruined it.

Things were getting really good when, in "Lifesigns", Paris knocked down Chakotay. I was curious as to why the Paris subplot kept being brought up but was interested. I liked that there was an ongoing theme between episodes such as Neelix and Kes' relationship or the Doctor and his name.

Then they ruined it with "Investigations". I groaned out loud as I quickly realized Paris' behavior was a rouse. They took one of the genuine surprises of the show and just said "psyche!"

Before I decided to buy the DVDs, I went on StarTrek.com with the promise of full episodes. I couldn't access the videos due to region factors. It's really annoying! They should change that kind of stuff so everybody can enjoy video access.

Regrettably I watched the season finale. This was my response when it ended: NOW? YOU'RE CHOOSING "To be continued" NOW?! WHAT. THE. HELL. How am I going to survive until S4 arrives? :wtf:

You can wait 16 weeks like we had to in 1998.

:)

Nah, some one in the states snail mailed a friend the episodes on VHS and 30 of us huddled around a TV and took it all in.

Do you know how to illegally download?

It's your ticket to your own Orange is the New Black Experience after Johnny Law nabs you.
