Will the uniforms change?

It's a bit of a Trek tradition, but do you think the SNW uniforms will change for 4th or 5th seasons? Not sure entirely what could change, as they're fairly TOS-ified as is. Maybe a higher black collar? Gold rank insignias like they used for the future in the season one finale?
 
The tradition is normally to change when a new show begins, so I doubt it. DS9 is (if I remember right) the only one that had a major change while staying in the same time period, with Discovery changing with the time jump.
 
Id say that considering how S4 was intended to be the last, and puppet-Pike seems to be wearing the usual SNW uniform, its not likely they've made any dramatic changes to the uniform.
 
I believe the intent is these uniforms ARE the TOS ones, in HD. That said, I still think they'll do a final scene at the end of season 5 after a "refit" in TOS unis on the TOS set tour bridge. Even though it makes no sense.
 
We have seen filming photos from S4 that show they're still wearing the same uniforms, and as mentioned above the Comic Con preview shows Puppet Pike wearing the current uniforms.

For S5 I'm going to guess no, as the abbreviated episode count would seem to indicate they're trying to do that season as cheaply as possible. It's therefore unlikely they're going to create new uniforms that will only have six episodes guaranteed for their use.
 
Since there’s literally no break in production between seasons 4 and 5, I doubt they’ll make brand new uniforms within 6 episodes. Unless the finale takes place in the future a la All Good Things, and they make future uniforms out of the cheapest material known to man.

TNG changed uniforms in season 3.
ENT updated theirs in...I think season three? Four at the latest.
PIC had a never-ending series of new uniforms.

Some of the changes were more subtle than DS9, but they did happen. :)
 
TNG changed the wardrobe for the main cast twice, within a few weeks at the beginning of shooting for season three.

They continued to use the original jumpsuits for featured background performers, tweaking the yoke and adding collars. As costumes needed to be replaced over the years, the new designs replaced the originals on a good percentage of performers.

After a brief experiment with the new wool Blackman costumes, the producers returned to modified versions of the Theiss knit jumpsuits for female cast.
 
Theoretically they already made TOSified SNW uniform variants from when they filmed "A Quality of Mercy" back in S1. So I suppose they could bring those back for late S4 or even S5, but I suspect they'll finish the show out keeping the series look as is (though maybe they'll bringing back the S1 finale uniforms for the S5 finale if it is a hand-off episode to Kirk's Captaincy).

I wouldn't be suprised if we got a little bit of change to the uniforms, after all they were different by TOS. one thing I DON'T want however are the weird TOS pants, with the flare at the bottom. What the heck was with those things anyway?

James Cawley did say ages ago that he gave CBS permission to when they asked, though nothing ever came of it.

The sets arent soundproofed so they're not very practical (shots of Of Gods and Men were ruined by trucks passing), but for one scene maybe at the very end of season 5 it could theoretically be done.

I thought the tos pants were cool. Actually they are iconic..

ENT was season two, when they started using a material on the jumpsuits that read as more of an actual blue than the somewhat purple-ish version used in season 1.
