Surely something good happened to you today

Woohoo- Udemy put their courses on sale! I picked up a web design one I had in my cart.

The tulips my Mom gave me for Valentine's Day are opening up. Thank God they live inside!

My husband and I began planning a big road trip/vacation for this summer (tentative). Once he and I are both vaccinated we plan to take our 3 year old to Orlando to visit my in-laws/family and friends, we live in Southern California. We made the drive a few years ago when my son was 3 months but this will be an entirely new experience. We are thrilled to take him on this trip, make new memories and have him experience just a teeny tiny part of the world. This is especially meaningful to us as we will have spent over a year completely at home due to the pandemic ( we live with elderly family and have been very isolated since March.)

Also, as every day, my silly toddler showed me that life is wonderful. His positive outlook, love of life and excitement for every day is what keeps me going sometimes. :)

Went to the grocery store this morning to pick up "one item". On the way out of the store with my bags of groceries, I happened to see the "one item" that I went to the store to get. Turned around to go buy it, but at least I didn't get home before realizing I forgot it. Dumb luck saved me from my decrepit brain.

We have 11 inches of snow and counting. Couldn't drive to the store so we walked. And just as we finished our shopping the stores closed! We were very lucky to have our shopping done!

We did a Valentine's Day dinner--of sorts--tonight, since tomorrow, there might be sleet, and the authorities are asking people to stay home Sunday and Monday---this area is not prepared for the cold. We did our weekly grocery shopping and then picked up some Chinese takeout (which was awesome; we are SO ordering from there again). We sat on the sofa, had great Chinese food, and watched a few episodes of "Bosch," while Junior slept on a heating pad next to me. Can't complain.

Managed to make it to church and breakfast, even though there's a snowstorm (which fortunately is ending now).

Texted my oldest nephew and his girlfriend - haven't seen either one of them since the pandemic dropped!
