Have been scheduled for surgery to fix deviated septum and have a turbinate reduced in April. Was diagnosed late September, lost insurance in Oct/Nov, and COVID hospitalizations forced elective surgeries to be deferred. Orange County is at 31% ICU availability.

Got a haircut today--the first since April 2020. This time, I got it cut very short, so it feels a bit weird. It feels nice--like I lost ten pounds off my head-- but it's a drastic change. I like it, though. Also, after the haircut, I walked next door to Jimmy John's and got a BLT to take home for lunch. All in all, not a bad afternoon.

My number one daughter bought me a mini quiche maker and brought it over today. A nice addition to my Keto arsenal.

Best Buy has a reward program, I think it's Reward Zone. I haven't even bought anything there for years but I ended up ordering a refrigerator through them. Just for the heck of it I signed in to the reward thing and since my birthday is this month I got 10% off the fridge ($230)!
If anyone needs something from Best Buy you might try it.

I was able to get an appointment for my first shot scheduled today! First shot tomorrow afternoon and then again in 4 weeks. Mrs.Q2 received her first shot yesterday. Since my state opened the flood gates of 2.7 million eligible people last week, I figured is would be weeks and weeks before I could get scheduled.

I got a pound of dried untreated lavender flowers in this morning's mail =) Now I can try out all those lovely recipes for lavender cookies, lavender cakes, lavender muffins, lavender scones, lavender ice cream, lavender panna cotta etc.
And all those nasty sock-munching moths will leave my flat at warp 9.9
