‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

For the cinema (unlike the comics, where he'd been a member of the Justice League for years and whatnot by the time they tried to play the "urban legend" card), I can buy a version of Batman who keeps a relatively low profile and whom most people in Gotham have never seen. Even if things like the Bat-Signal exist, skeptics might speculate that it's all a stunt by the Gotham PD to keep the criminals in line.

The car is harder to rationalize, but anyone could be driving the thing, it doesn't mean there's really a guy in a bat costume who runs around doing all those things that they say he does....

Legally, he might be completely "off the books", with the courts not recognizing his existence.

^ That's why I've hated practically every incarnation of the Batmobile ever. The dude needs something more like what James Bond or the Green Hornet uses. A loud, obnoxious, and obvious vehicle is pretty much completely contrary to everything the character is.

But then, so is having a kid in brightly colored clothing, so... <shrugs>

Apologies if this has already been posted, but it appears that WB now plans to release 9 DC movies over the next few years. The timetable is similar but not quite the same as that suggested by Nikki Finke some weeks ago:

Has anyone else seen those recent Auto Trader or whatever commercials with John Schneider and Tom Wopat? Did you notice that the "General Lee" had a tan interior (not black), no roll cage, and there was no Rebel flag on the roof?

Yep, and for some reason in one of the commercials the headlight covers are open.

But here's the kicker: the song itself is ironic. I think she knew that when she wrote it and was her intended conceit all along. She's way too intelligent not to know the proper definition of ironic.
