What are you watching???

This summer I plan to finish Arrested Development and Babylon 5.
Turn, Falling Skies, American Ninja Warrior, and The Next Food Network Star are probably the only new shows I'll watch.

Halt and Catch Fire.

New from AMC.

On the fence, it's not Breaking Bad, but it could be Breaking Bad if it gets a little bright Lights Big City with Lee Pace being super effective and alpowerful BECAUSE of the magic powder he puts up his nose... Not that there's any sign of that "yet". It's just obsessive compulsive computer engineers with a plan.

80s period drama about the home PC revolution.

Same here.
Boring (and at times overstyled) as hell and if I didn't know the enormous potential that setting has to offer I would've already abandoned it.

I'm old... But why is the Frumpy house wife mother of two hotter than the rebel without a cause cyberrevolutionary?

^^ Have to agree with you on that one. The actress looked like a fish out of water.

Just started re-watching Stargate SG-1 while I'm reading up on some stuff for work.
About 15 episodes in and if you ignore the Ori crap it's still just as much fun as the last time I did this (1-2 years ago).

Just finished watching the SG-1 episode where they come across the second gate in Antarctica and I'm now watching the one where they wake up as their own android clones.

There's an outtake/blooper to that one where Carter is covered in a snow screaming at RDA something like "We're going to die! We're Going to die! Where's your freaking roll of duct tape to save us now McGyver?!"

^^ The team really had a lot of fun with that (especially during the first season), kinda like how Sam mentioned during Torment of Tantalus (the one with the mission from 1945) that it took them x years and three supercomputers to macgyver a working DHD.

Right now I'm up to the Invasion episodes, near the end of the damn clip show they needed to free up money for the effects work on the related episodes. At least we got that bastard Kinsey out of it.

Since Fall season 2013/2014 has more or less ended there is only the small crop of summer miniseries like Game of Thrones, True Blood etc. to watch so i decided to catch up with some shows i put off.

Currently i'm watching Arrow.. surprisingly good given it's a CW show but it's engaging though i'm closing both eyes and shutting off my brain at some plot points ("Here.. i found this thing and i need to know where it came from! - Ok.. i'll see (hacks away on the computer, finds the company, makes two more keystrokes and has instant access to internal shipping data and who ordered the item :rolleyes:)

Then there are other small things like True Detective about which i heard from a few friends who said it's quite good (should be.. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey).

Anything else i should catch up (nothing with 2+ seasons, i don't have that much time)?

True, but if you're binge watching and they're repeating the stuff you just watched 2-3 hours ago it just doesn't work. Better to skip it and lose the stuff between the flashbacks.

I loove England and China freaking the fuck out when they're told what's really going on.

And Russia's lies were amahhhhhzing.

Meanwhile the Presidents first day?

Lordy.

It's weird seeing President Hayes in 24 this season.

Why is he afraid of a drone assault when he has starships in orbit that can beam them half way to the sun?

Ooooh! It's the early stage Alzheimers.

...And that's why he keeps answering when people keep calling him President Heller instead of president Hayes.

It's all so blatantly obvious now.

I've been watching, courtesy of Youtube and Netflix:
*Classic episodes of The Saint
*Classic episodes of Mission: Impossible
*Classic episodes of Spenser for Hire

Brooklyn 99 is a weird'n.

It's a super real background with a few ridiculously comedic characters prancing about in situations serious as cancer.

A couple of them should probably be sectioned if their behaviour can't be explained with alcoholism.

But yes, SURPRISINGLY good.
