That could easily be taken as an expression of opinion rather than a statement of fact.As far as Spock just being Average, wasn't he called The Best First Officer in the Fleet?
Right, and considering him average would be likewise an opinionThat could easily be taken as an expression of opinion rather than a statement of fact.As far as Spock just being Average, wasn't he called The Best First Officer in the Fleet?
BUT ... I DO want to see previous STAR TREK actors in a reboot, in other roles. Let's keep our Family employed and entertaining us, just the way they should.
We know Spock didn't graduated at the top of his class at the academy, because Lieutenant Valeris was the first Vulcan to be graduated at the top of her class. As far as Spock just being Average, wasn't he called The Best First Officer in the Fleet?
After the event of Amok Time, I prefer to think that pon farr was still an unknown. Kirk and McCoy learned something very personal to Vulcans, what did they do next, start telling people or keep quiet about the whole pon farr thing? It's also implied in TOS. Nobody knew about Spocks pon farr thing. If he wasn't the first, then why?

Thank you. I could never remember it being said, but couldn't definitively state that.^^ It's never stated in any episode that Spock was the first.
Because Vulcans have a very "Victorian" attitude towards sex (both parties involved just shut their eyes and think of VulcanIt's also implied in TOS. Nobody knew about Spocks pon farr thing. If he wasn't the first, then why?). Its necessary for the continuation of the species, but its not something they discuss openly--even Tuvok seemed uncomfortable discussing the matter a century after TOS.
I always loved this line from WNMHGB: "Well, main engines are... gone..." Geordi in TNG, OTOH, would've teched the tech in the subspace tech.Excessive technobabble, JJ ditched this successfully, TV Trek can too.
Zombies - I do not want zombies in a reboot.
Except for the tribble zombie they had in STID. But no more

That's going to be the big bad for NuTrek 3: The Search for More Money! The universe is going to be laid waste by zombie-Tribbles, they already eat everything in sight but now they can't die and are developing incredibly high levels of intelligence and British accents. The zombie-Tribble threat will enrage the Blingons, sending them into a bloodlust which will see them lashing out in every direction, including Starfleet, threatening war!
