On the Hand issue...sometimes a villain reveal is just a villain reveal....

    She could.

Looking forward to finding out if she does.

I've given some more thought on the timeline. Let me know if this is correct:

I'm starting a bit more recent than I did last time. I'm thinking the events take place over about four days:
Day 1 - Nick Fury is attacked. At night, he is killed.
Day 2 - Pierce orders Steve Rogers taken, but he escapes. The day ends with Armin Zola and the rocket explosion.
Day 3 - Agent Sitwell is questioned, the Winter Soldier attacks them, the group is captured and Agent Hill rescues them. Bucky has his memory erased again.
Day 4 - The group attacks Triskelion to stop project Insight

Did I get that right. If so, my theory is this:
Nick Fury tells Coulson to come to Triskelion on Day 1 (or the night before), shortly before he is attacked. The events of Turn, Turn, Turn could possibly all take place on that day or into the next day when the orders are to take out Rogers. Basically, Hand is working with Pierce to eliminate the threats to launching Project Insight. Depending on the amount of time the episode would cover, it's possible to end it all before Day 3 and put off the major spoilers until next week. I can't see it going far beyond that, though.

Project Centipede could have been a testing facility for Extremis.

Upon A.I.M.'s end it could have been absorbed by Shield (Hydra) and exploited by the Clairvoyant (Hand).

Producers and cast speak about AoS's plans post-TWS. Almost goes without saying that there are big spoilers about TWS in this article.

a civil war within the entire SHIELD organization, where no one knows who's actually a Hydra operative.” In addition (and this gets a bit more spoiler-alluding if you want to skip a paragraph), there will be “at least one major betrayal, and what's left of Coulson's team is forced to deal on their own with the dismantling of their whole world as well as the new Hydra threat.

Keep in mind what Centipede is. It isn't just for Extremis, it was an attempt to throw in everything that existed so far in a pot and see what happened (it was Extremis meets Erskein's formula, meets Chitauri technology). Extremis was just the final piece of the puzzle.

What was exactly the purpose of Extremis? Was it to create supersoldiers or were they just an added bonus and the goal more benign (like healing others)? I realize it might have started as one and changed focus after the Mandarin became more and more a developed character for Killian.

I wish they'd straight up say whether you need to watch The Winter Soldier before Turn, Turn, Turn. I certainly don't think you can make it through the final six episodes, but it might be possible, based on the timing of events, to pace it out two weeks instead of one.

    It's "council" not "counsel".

Yeah, I'm used to counsel because that's what I am. Sorry about the spelling mistake. In spite of that, I hope you still found a satisfactory answer to your question.

I find your theory to be very plausible. All we can do now is wait for the next episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Yep...it's definitely sounding like any AoS watchers who can see the movie should ASAP.

We'll find out in a couple of nights.

The only episode I watched so far was Yes Men, mainly because Sif was in it. But it was pretty bad.

I still want to say if you have an idea of what CA:TWS is about, you could watch it (the same with the IM3 and T:TDW tie-ins) but...

Interesting approach, I don't think I've ever seen events of a movie and series intertwine like that before. At least not mid-season.

Well, somebody posted something in the TWS thread that indicates that AoS won't be holding back in spoiling the film...nor in publicizing the details in major media. Those of you who can't or won't see the film before watching the remainder of the season can count on cats running free from their bags.

I'm planning to see the film either tomorrow or Tuesday morning/afternoon, but if for some reason I can't manage to see it before Tuesday night, I'll DVR that night's episode and save it for later.

Sounds like a good plan...and keep your eyes away from any major media articles relating to the show.

I think Star Trek could fit in that category. After Generations, Sisko enlists Worf a few seasons in who wasn't assigned to anything yet, he was away for a few episodes during First Contact along with the Defiant, he was away during Insurrection too, and later Admiral Janeway jokes with Picard. Three series and four movies, all intertwined.

^^ hmmm, I didn't remember that, I was probably too busy being annoyed at what a poor showing Defiant had in First Contact :)
