I think that played quite well. I can't wait to see how Tyrese & Carol's arrival plays into this, & I just hope Beth isn't already on the menu

Before watching this, I had figured Rick and Co. would end up in Terminus before the Claimed gang caught up to them. Might have been interesting to see how that would've played out.

Very good finale, some nice intense moments and some really great character moments. Nice eye on Rick to notice Hershel's watch on the one dude, riot gear on another dude, and the poncho on the chick.

Also great, and expected everyone (well I guess most everyone) met up in the end. Carol, Tyrese, Judith and presumably Beth are all still out there, though.

Great seeing Hershel again in the flash back sequences.

Touching moment when Rick called Daryl his brother. Just all around a good episode, can't wait for October.

Those were some pretty nice sized chunks of grilled Soylent Green on the barbie...

It was a nice ending to an uneven (some may say, uneventful) 2nd half season. After the fall of the prison-and some dissappointment over how the scattered groups were handled, I really didn't need any shock and awe. Two thirds of the group are reunited, the fate of the remaining 4 to be determined, and the mystery of just what's going on at the sanctuary to keep us wondering until fall. The flashbacks to the prison bookended the season as a whole, answering the question of how Farmer Rick came about.

A question for the worldbuilding department...given the proximity of The Prison and Woodbury, I wonder how far Terminus is from there. You'd think scouting parties from Woodbury would have discovered the signs and investigated.

Excellent Season 4 finale that was both faithful to TWD comics and a set up for Season 5. :techman: I can't wait.

Terminus was the original name for the area now known as Atlanta, it being end of the rail line. Presumably that's what this area/building is. It's the end of this rail line and probably on the edge of the Atlanta area/far outskirts.

As for why the signs weren't seen before? Maybe they were only fairly recently hung or our characters simply haven't walked along or ran into the train tracks in the right areas enough to see the signs.

I'm glad Beth seems to be safe...I just hope she's nowhere near Terminus.

That is what I referred to as sweet. Think back to season two's "Better Angels," where Shane was bitter, accusing Rick of picking Daryl as his wingman; that turned out be true in such a strong way.

Rick said what the viewer was thinking.

They've encountered trouble? No, they're the trouble. :klingon:

That was an AWESOME episode. So very glad that
none of the major players died...only the Claim Gang

That was intense, but definitely sets the tone for what's to come.

    Right here buddy.
It was a fine episode. I thought Rick's group was done for at the start (and I thought Michonne was done for for sure when she was hit with the gun) but our guys pulled through again. I don't see how they'll make it out of this cliffhanger they set up but we'll see in October.

Anyone know if Beth is in the spinoff?

I did like on Talking Dead that they say they toyed (however flimsily) with the idea of Rick saying "They fucked with the wrong people". Definitely would've been a hell of a moment.

EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to this, great minds and all...

Always found it a little odd that "shit" is ok for basic cable, but "fuck" is not. :p

Doesn't it air on the same network as Breaking Bad? They said Fuck a few times through its run, notably one great scene involving Hank. But I believe they were muted a bit on airing, but I know on the DVDs they're uncut.
Don't see why TWD can't do that.

As for the episode, great stuff, but can't say I'm a fan of ending it on a cliffhanger. 6/7 months to find out whatever happened to Beth, what Tyreese & Carol are up to, etc

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm glad nobody died. I had heard that someone connected to the show said that, but wasn't sure if it was an idle rumor. Not so happy that Beth's fate is still uncertain.

Same here. I love the Colonial and Revolutionary Era. I've written about a Pulp-style character in that period.

Yeah, Jungle Zombie Adventure. :D Hopefully, they'll alternate the new show with Walking Dead, and then we'll have zombies most of the year.

Basic cable can say whatever they want, they're not regulated by any government agency. They still have to stay within the guidelines of what they feel they can get away with when it comes to their sponsors and audience.

I'm never too happy when Michonne & Daryl lose they're weapons. I just won't feel right until they've reclaimed them..... And we all know they must reclaim them

You had to know things weren't going to turn out well when Rick stowed his service pistol in their buried cache of weapons. That's one weapon that can never change. I suspect one way or another Michonne will get her sword back and in the buried cache Daryl had the crossbow from the Claimed Gang waiting for him.

Andrew Lincoln made for a great guest on Talking Dead.
