So the past couple years I've done the flowers and notes and such, but I wanted to let you guys know I'm not going to be able to do it this year. I hope I'm not letting anyone down, but if someone else wants to step up and do it I can show them my system. If not, I hope you guys all have a wonderful February 14th, lovey or not. :)

I was kinda wondering about that! But I know why you won't be able to :)

I'll just have to send it out my own valentines :D

No worries, Kes. We really appreciate all your hard work in previous years. :)

Thanks! And yeah, I loved seeing all the notes but there's no reason people can't send out their own. I encourage you guys to!

Oh great. Now I'm going to have to actually go to people's houses for casual sex. What if they say no? That will so embarrassing for them! *sigh* I'm going to need about $73,000 in plane tickets.

Ah well.

I hope you have a happy Valentine's day, Kestra. :)

Oh don't worry about him, he's like this every year. And I know that people have enjoyed it in the past, and I've seen some really sweet messages so he's not going to get me down. Thanks for the well-wishes everyone! I'm actually not a big Valentine's Day person in RL but this year it happens to coincide with a trip to see a certain poster here, so we are both looking forward to it. :)

Made up holiday, nothing lost.
So no one gained anything from Kestra's previous efforts? The absence of those efforts is no loss for anyone? That's harsh.

@Kestra ... "I hope you have a wonderful February 14th, lovey or not." :techman:

Valentines day is about nothing more than consumerism and exclusion. Anything absent from that supposed "holiday" is nothing lost, quite the opposit actually. We, as a society, would benifit more from its elimination than its continued existence.

Oh, hush. Don't ruin it for the rest of us. Even if some of the rest of us aren't keen on it either.

You can't ruin an evil. You can only expose, destroy, accept and/or mock an evil. Ruin is what the evil causes.

^You might complain about V day but you are obviously enjoying it

I detest that holiday. In my 30 years I have to say that it ranks as one of the worst days out of the year. Ranks right up with my birthday on a personal level. On the whole, it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. In fact, I'd say that it leads to near irreparable harm to the psyche of the youth.

And please, do not mistake my attempt at creative responses as enjoyment. While I may enjoy debate and discussion of interesting and intelligent topics, this topic posses nothing of the sort.
