Was the Xindi attack on earth based on 9/11.Both events are very similar america had never had an attack on the country like this before. And earth had never had an attack like this before.agree of disagree.

Yeah . . . that Pearl thing sure rings a bell . . . hmmm.

And wasn't there something written about those who forget the past being dammed to relive it?

ME

The Xindi thing was definitely meant to be "9/11 in space"

Which was fine. Then the novels did their own 9/11 in space ...
In Kobayashi Maru, a Romulan ship rams Coridan at warp, razing the planet.

And then, the latest movie ends with (to put it in Team America speak) 9/11x10,000.

No more Trekverse 9/11's, please! Three is definitely enough.

The Xindi are idiots why did they not just test the first weapon on some planet with no life on.If they do that then Earth will have no idea that they are planning to destroy them.because of them attacking earth it alerted star-fleet to send the Enterprise to stop them.

The Enterprise writers were idiots. That's not news.

Yes i agree Rick berman and Brannon Braga both suck at writing that is why enterprise failed. They should have got better writers.

They were pressured into launching the test weapon against Earth ASAP by the Sphere Builders, who were gods to them. Their goal was simply to disrupt the timeline and weaken the humans. The Xindi were pawns.

If all the the sphere builders wanted to do was destroy earth why did they get the Xindi to do it.why not use the Klingon's to do it they are much closer to earth they had far more ships and could take over Earth easy.because earth had only one warp 5 ship to defend it while the Klingon's had many.

Why would the Klingons listen to them? The Builders spent a thousand years creating the Expanse and influencing the Xindi.

Remember, Klingon legend is that they killed their gods:)

Why did Hitler limit the development of the advanced weapons of the Luftwaffe and cripple his own nation's warfare abilities just because he, personally, disliked flying?

Sometimes, thankfully, the bad guys make some stupid decisions. I'm not sure it is always bad writing if they do so in fiction, too. ;)

Also where have been the xindi been since the attack have they joined the Federation by the 24th century.

According to the novels, yes. A Xindi Reptile is on the Federation cabinet when the Enterprise D is launched.

We know from Enterprise that the Xindi are Federation members by the 26th century and that a Xindi is serving on the Enterprise J.

I like to think that a few years after Enterprise, the Xindi tried to destroy Romulus or Kronos, and found that those civilizations were a little less forgiving.

Was the Xindi attack on earth based on 9/11.Both events are very similar america had never had an attack on the country like this before.
Remember in the nineteenth century when the Xindi invaded America in multiple locations and burned our nation's capital?

Oh that's right, that was the British.

:)

Or, the time a WWI German U-boat opened fire on a town in Massachusetts? Or when a WWII Japanese sub shelled the Ellwood Oil Field (just outside Santa Barbara) in California, and another did the same to Fort Stevens, Oregon? Or when the Japanese used over 350 unmanned dirigibles to firebomb the mainland United States, and actually managed to kill a pregnant mother and 5 kids?

Yeah - that "never been an attack on American soil" nonsense is just propaganda.

Never? Pearl... necklace? Handbag? Handle? Pearl something...

Well you could make the argument that Hawaii was not a state in 1941, so, an attack on an American naval base (not actual American soil) in a time of war, was not technically the same thing as 9/11.

I know, it's probably splitting hairs, but I think there's enough room for a distinction.

Oops. My mistake. I forgot this one.
