I kind of hope that Marvel might consider bringing over some of the people who worked on Star Wars for Dark Horse (namely John Ostrander and Jan Duursema), but I highly doubt it will happen.
I think Titan Comics has already snatched up the Doctor Who license.IDW just lost the Doctor Who License.
Without Star Wars, Dark Horse would have a lot of money to bid on that practically insignificant product.
I think Marvel will pick up where they originally left off with post-Episode VI Luke, Han, & Leia. What would have been issue #108 will now be issue #1 of a new ongoing title that'll have plenty of Easter Eggs towards Episode VII and beyond.Skywalker said:I kind of hope that Marvel might consider bringing over some of the people who worked on Star Wars for Dark Horse (namely John Ostrander and Jan Duursema), but I highly doubt it will happen. Most likely they'll discard everything Dark Horse did and start fresh with an OT-centric series leading up to Episode VII.

I missed that. When Disney bought Lucasfilm and the Dark Horse question came up at the time, Dark Horse stated that their license was through 2014.
"Well" in what terms? No, they've paled in comparison to Marvel and DC's flagship titles. (Though even those pale in comparison to the crowds who go to see the movies.)Comic books are about old men grasping at their childhoods.
Has Star Wars Comics ever sold well?
