Our thread on STAR TREK guest actors appearing in other series got me to thinking about the somewhat finite list of actors and actresses who appeared in some form of STAR TREK TV series as well as the STAR TREK motion picture series.

I've come up with a few, all who appeared in STAR TREK V: THE FINAL FRONTIER.

Charles Cooper - played Klingon General Koord in the TREK V movie and also K'mpec in several TNG episodes

Rex Holman - played the squirrelly J'onn in the opening scene of ST V and also Morgan Earp in TOS' "Spectre Of The Gun"

George Murdock - played no less than "God" in ST V and also played Admiral Hanson in TNG's "Best Of Both Worlds".

Tim Russ has played a few characters that come to mind. He was on the bridge of the Enterprise-B in Generations and he played one of the terrorists in the TNG episode "Starship Mine."

Brock Peters was a crooked admiral in IV and VI and Joe Sisko in DS9. Rene Auberjonois, of course, was Odo and a crooked colonel in VI.

The big one that jumps out to me is Majel Barret Roddenberry, who has appeared in almost all variations of Star Trek. Namely; Number One in The Cage, and then as Nurse Chapel in TOS and TMP, TVH and TAS (various). And supplied voices for some computers in all series but Ent . . . I believe. And of course she was Lwaxana Troi in TNG.

Assuming we're talking about those other than the main cast members . . .

TWOK has a bunch. Merritt Buttrick and Judson Scott appeared in TNG's "Symbiosis." Paul Winfield was in TNG: "Darmok." And of course, Ricardo Montalban and John Winston reprised their TOS characters in the film.

Mark Lenard appeared in the movies not only as Sarek, but as the Klingon commander in ST:TMP.

TSFS has several. In addition to Lenard, Phil Morris was one of the Onlies in "Miri," a cadet in ST III, a Klingon and a Jem'Hadar in DS9, and a 21st-century astronaut in VGR. Robin Curtis (Saavik) was in TNG: "Gambit." And Frank Welker (voice of regenerating Spock) voiced an alien life form in VGR: "Nothing Human."

John Shuck, the movies' Klingon ambassador, was a Cardassian legate in DS9 and a chorus member in VGR: "Muse." Robert Ellenstein, TVH's president, was the father of Deanna's fiance in TNG: "Haven." Michael Berryman, a Starfleet officer in TVH, was Captain Rixx in TNG: "Conspiracy."

TUC: Leon Russom, the Starfleet Commander in Chief, was Admiral Toddman in DS9. Kurtwood Smith, the president, was Thrax in DS9: "Things Past" and Annorax in VGR: "Year of Hell." Michael Dorn appeared as Col. Worf. W. Morgan Sheppard, the Rura Penthe commandant, was Ira Graves in TNG: "The Schizoid Man", Qatai in VGR: "Bliss," and a Vulcan science minister in the 2009 film. Jeremy Roberts (Valtane) was a Jem'Hadar in DS9. Michael Bofshever was cut from TUC (but still credited), and appeared as an alien in TNG: "Timescape" and a Bajoran minister on DS9. Darryl Henriques, Ambassador Nanclus, was Portal of the Tkon in TNG: "The Last Outpost."

I had a lengthy list from the TNG movies that I was editing into this post, but I accidentally closed the wrong window and lost it, so I'm not going to bother recreating it. Suffice to say there's a whole bunch of them. Since the TNG movies and shows were made by the same people, they used a lot of the same actors.

-Cully Fredrickson, the lead Vulcan, had a role on Voyager.
-Ethan Phillips is uncredited in his role as the maƮtre d' on the holodeck and is best known as Neelix. He also had a role each on TNG and Enterprise, coincidentally enough both were Ferengi.

-Mark Deakins, Tournel, had two roles on Voyager.
-Stephanie Niznik, Lt. Perim had a role on Enterprise.
-Bruce French, a Son'a officer had a role each on TNG, Voyager and Enterprise.
-Rick Worthy, an Elloran officer had three roles on Voyager (two were in the same episode) and a role each on DS9 and Enterprise. On Enterprise, he had the recurring role Jannar, the Xindi Sloth council representative.
-Max Grodenchik, an alien ensign in the deleted library scene is best known as Rom and also had two roles on TNG. This is his only non-Ferengi role in Star Trek.
-Joseph Ruskin, a Son'a officer had two roles in DS9 and a role each on TOS, Voyager and Enterprise.
-McKenzie Westmore, a Ba'ku woman had a role on Voyager.

    Nemesis
-Shannon Cochran, Senator Tal'aura guest starred as the same character on TNG and DS9 and had another role on DS9.

Not too many in the Abrams movies. In XI, W. Morgan Sheppard is uncredited as the Vulcan Science Minister as mentioned above and Wil Wheaton added his voice to Narada bridge chatter. From STID, Peter Weller, Admiral Marcus had a role on Enterprise.

I'm really tickled that W. Morgan Sheppard has been in several incarnations of Trek, including the current one, and also that the Emmys last Sunday gave a small shout-out to Star Trek when James Cromwell won the award for American Horror Story.

Also from First Contact, Jack Shearer (Adm. Hayes) had played two DS9 characters and an earlier admiral in VGR, and reprised Hayes later on in VGR.

    W. Morgan Sheppard was Dr. Ira Graves in "The Schizoid Man", I think he played a Klingon in STVI and was the racist Vulcan elder in ST'09.

Other ST:TMP rec-room extras who've appeared in later Trek productions:

Richard Arnold: A Romulan aboard the Narada in ST '09
Christopher Doohan: A transporter technician in ST '09 and STID
David Gerrold: Voice of Em-3-Green in TAS: "The Jihad" and an Enterprise redshirt in DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations." (The original Star Trek Concordance credits him as Korax in TAS: "More Tribbles, More Troubles," but Memory Alpha disagrees.)
Susan Sackett: Ent-D ensign in TNG: "The Neutral Zone"

I so want Phil Morris to play Samuel T. Cogley's co-counsel, Jackie Chiles, in the next nu-Trek movie.

I just stumbled across another one: Marco Sanchez was a MACO in ENT: "The Xindi" and a torpedo officer in Star Trek Into Darkness.

^^You forgot Robert Picardo, who played Dr. Zimmerman and the EMH, primarily on Voyager but also appeared as both characters on DS9 and played the EMH in First Contact.
