^I agree the past couple of episodes have been a bit mediocre, but B:TAS had a fair number of forgettable episodes early on. (Remember "The Underdwellers," "The Forgotten," and "I've Got Batman in My Basement"?)
No, I don't remember those,

I was satisfied. I like the idea of a build-up too, but it felt like they established the relationship well enough....it would've been nice if Rex and Sapphire could've been set up before this so we'd have some reason to care about Rex's transformation -- kinda like how B:TAS had Harvey Dent play a recurring good-guy role for a few episodes so his descent into Two-Face would have more impact.
Either that or spumoni. When a kid of around 5 or 6, I called Metamorpho the "ice cream man" because of his quasi Neapolitan color scheme.
Yeah, plot wise, I'm not sure what the point of the "firing" was. Did Bruce think ninjas were watching him at home and find him an easier target once he "fired" Alfred and Tatsu?
I also see that Lady Shiva appeared on Birds of Prey. I don't remember that.
So, now that Katana is onboard with Batman, does she get a new costume?![]()
Not bad, though I'm a little unclear -- did Bruce really fire Alfred or was that just part of his test/plan? I guess he faked it in order to have an excuse to go to Bethanie and be "vulnerable" enough to be convinced to go to the Argus Club.
Katana's Soultaker sword, along with its non-powered twin, was forged in the 14th century by Muramasa, whose swords were said to be cursed and make those who were evil commit evil acts. It sometimes takes the souls of those it kills, storing them inside the sword, where they can engage in limited communication with whoever wields it. These souls can be reincarnated by the means of a sacred ritual, under which they serve their summoner, even if it is against their will.
I was wondering how Batman would get back to the cave without Katana noticing that they're headed toward Wayne Manor. Then we saw the tunnels and I'm thinking... How did Bruce manage to get all that made?
Thinking about it further, I suppose it could have been an old network of tunnels that he outfitted with lights. And maybe he has some sort of mechanism to shut everything down if the tunnels are ever discovered.
