OK! Man of Steel Movie Masters time!

First, although I'm an opener, I couldn't tear into them before snapping a pic of that very sexy packaging:

Now on to the main event

Zod:

Jor-El:

As you can clearly see, the sculpting on all three of these is utterly fantastic. The paint is very clean, and the articulation is the great standard that we have come to expect from the Movie Masters line. The only extra joint I may have wanted is an ab crunch, but none of the previous Movie Masters have had one either. I do have a couple quibbles, the biggest being the size of Zod's head. Geez what a noggin! Second, besides the stand, all of these characters come with a great big goose egg for accessories. I obviously haven't seen the movie yet and have no idea what would have been good, but come on, they could have thrown in something!

Overall though, these are easily some of my favorite figures so far this year. I can't wait for the movie, and for wave 2.

Very nice. I'm more impressed by these new Superman figures than I thought I'd be.

I don't know which is more amusing: the regular and beloved appearance of the one and only Tom Servo, or Slave Leia eyeballing Jor-El's ass. :p

Hehe. I thought you might find that amusing. In all the Superman excitement, I forgot to mention that I found Sandstorm Leia today. The sandstorm gear is nice, but well, beneath it.....Yeah, I don't think I'll be using the sandstorm gear. :o

Good man.

Yeah, that Sandstorm Leia is still pretty hard to find for most people and her official release date was back in February of 2012. Any score of a Deleted Scenes figure is very cool and something to applaud, even now.

@OdoWan...the contrast in quality between the wave one and wave two Superman figures is stunning isn't? The wave one Superman looks superb, while the wave two looks like crap. I think I might've mentioned that I'll be holding out for wave two Zod in his full suit.

I'm pretty sure the wave 2 Superman is the exact same figure as the wave 1 figure, just with a chain. I can't really say that wave 2 looks worse than wave one, since wave 1 Zod suffers from the same giant head problem that plagues Faora, and armored Zod looks fantastic.

Matty Collector has been revealing the SDCC exclusives, and this is the one for DC Club Infinite Earths

Is this a fucking joke? They tease us that it's going to be a fully new tooled figure (it's not) and a fan demanded character (it's not.) You can still walk into a Toys R Us anywhere and find the classic Shazam! and Black Adam two pack. Not to mention the fact that this will be exactly the same as a no frills standard figure, just at a premium exclusive price. All that aside, the figure looks unbelievable awful! That hood! Holy crap, how did anyone think that was acceptable. That element alone is enough to make me not buy this.

It kinda feels to me like they accidentally promised we would see a SDCC exclusive, and then just yanked a figure that was intended for DC Unlimited so that they didn't have to bother actually making something.

That was one of the best chapters yet. I like how Clint looks like he's reclining and resting on one of the cupcakes in the fifth picture.

"All this baking and eating has worn me out!"

Now I want KM™ brand mini-cupcakes.

Somebody. Contact her. Find a way to market these. Now!
