I remembered that they showed her walk by, I just couldn't remember if you could see her face. Either way I do agree about the quality of what we saw. Very nice indeed.
It sounds like a shape with lots of sides! (Which actually kinda fits with my mental image of the three of them anyway.) I don't think it would ever happen though. It's been pretty clear from day 1 that Dyson & Lauren hate each other. Yeah. It takes a lot for me to vote for a het pairing over a femslash one, but I just don't find Lauren the least bit interesting. Plus, I defy anyone to watch "(Dis)members Only" and not think that Bo & Dyson were totally meant to be together. That said, "Doccubus" is one of my favorite words ever. As for "Too many gratuitous sexual situations," I don't think there can be such a thing as far as Lost Girl is concerned. My biggest irritation with the latter half of Season 2 was that there seemed to be a lot less sex (and fewer Kenzi zingers but that's another issue). The show is at its best when it explores the notion that its central character needs sex to live and that there's nothing wrong with having a healthy sexual appetite. For me, the most haunting scene in the entire series was in "Scream a Little Dream" when Bo meets that future version of herself who hadn't been touched in years. The wounded desperation of the character was quite touching.
Yeah, I seem to recall a bit early on when Bo "jokingly" suggested that the three of them get together--and neither Lauren or Dyson seemed too keen on the idea.
I feel just the opposite. I have never found Kris Holden-Reid remotely likeable or interesting as an actor; I think he's by far the weakest link in the show's casting. But there's something about Zoie Palmer I find very endearing and charming.
I'm with Borgified on this one, I'm a big Bo/Dyson fan. I don't really have any problem Lauren as a character, I just like the Bo/Dyson relationship better.
I never felt Bo had much sexual chemistry with either Dyson or Lauren. She seems to have a lot more fun with the random sexual encounter of the week or that loki guy.
I tend to agree. Speaking purely about the actress Anna Silk and not her character Bo, Anna had much more sexual chemistry with Erin Karpluk in Being Erica. Part of it had to do with Erin's character, Erica's shyness towards kissing another girl.
I just rewatched that scene online, and I agree. Erik Karpluk and Anna Silk have a lot of sexual chemistry together.
Yeah, I think that was in "Dead Lucky." And, even in a non-sexual context, I always get this sense of seething dislike between Dyson & Lauren. Dyson isn't a very showy character but he has a kind of quiet charm that I find very appealing. Plus, he's nice to Kenzi, which earns him bucko points in my book. And you gotta respect Kris Holden-Reid's acting just for this scene: [yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aE5RBs_50Q8[/yt] OTOH, the only time I ever particularly liked Zoie Palmer's performance was when she switched bodies with that wierdo serial killer guy in "Original Skin." (Also, interestingly, I thought she made a more convincing Dyson than Ksenia Solo.)
^Syfy is currently airing new episodes only a day after they debut on Showcase in Canada, and apparently Showcase has postponed "There's Bo Place Like Home" until next week. Perhaps because of the Oscars?
The first and third seasons were also 13 episodes. The second started with 13 and then got a back-9 pickup.
^What's Checkmate in this context? The only TV series of that title I can find reference to are an American series from 1960 and a current Indian series.
