*SPOILERS* Jenna-Louise Coleman's Character's Name...

Photoman15

Commodore
Commodore
Her character name is
Susan Tyler

Let's see what kind of discussions this elicits.

"RAAAAR! OMG! Moffat needs to be sacked immediately! He has ruined the show!"

How's that?

Kinda interesting choice. Named after two Hartnell-era companions? Maybe we'll FINALLY get a reference to the Docs grandaughter out of this.

Note: Oh wait. Its Steven Taylor, not Tyler. *pout*

The only source I've found so far is IMDB claiming that to be her name, and that's after a Google search using jenna-loiuse coleman susan tyler. Anyone got anything more official?

No, because it's not true. It's someone editing IMDB to get a rise out of fans. This happens a good few times every year.

Hey, I know better than to trust IMDB. Wikipedia is more reliable (and they aren't calling her Susan Tyler). I'm just saying if anyone has anything more reliable than IMDB, please share.

In which case forget I said everything after the first sentence of my reply. Though I can tell you for sure that the character definitely isn't called Susan Tyler.

Hey there are a lot of Tylers in the world who aren't related to Rose, Pete and Jackie...

Maybe Susan is related to Sam Tyler...which means she's the Master's daughter! OMG!!!

I reckon it's bollocks, especially given the source, and especially given Moffat said he was hoping to keep details about the character under wraps as long as he could.

If (and it's a pretty big if for me) she were the daughter of Rose and 10.5 (how odd is naming your daughter after your granddaughter?) then she won't be a time head as she's unlikely to have been concieved in the TARDIS.

I find it amazing that after SEVEN YEARS of bollocks cast listings on IMDB people still believe it when a new one appears.

Any official name announcement will most likely originate from either the BBC in a release or I'm assuming Moffat himself via twitter.

The suggestment was that Susan Chesterton was conceived in the TARDIS during the Hartnell era by Ian and Barbara who doubtlessly loved each other more than enough to get married if only they wen't always running through long metal corridors 14 hours out of any given day.

Ben and Polly might have been doing it too, but she seemed like a good girl who would want to wait.

I doubt Jamie knew what sex was, and Stephen Taylor seemed far too... There's a line in the pilot to X-Files: "Have you ever been for a joyride in a flying saucer? Afterwards sex seems trite". Regardless you don't become an astronaut until after you've lost interest in sex... Although Sarah Kingdom might have forced herself on him, and Katrina might have supplicated herself to any of the Gods living in the blue temple.

Dodo would be on the pill (Was it legal in 1965?).

Which only leaves Harry and Sarah Jane or, call me crazy, but the way Tegan acted around Turlough, it's almost like she wanted to dunk his pigtails in an inkwell, there was far too much emotion going on between them for it not to be confusing and misdirected.

So many, many potential timeheads.

then she won't be a time head as she's unlikely to have been concieved in the TARDIS.

I still find that explanation bollocks personally.

I have sex somewhere in Paris and all of a sudden my kid is French.

Whatever.

Wooden box that's bigger on the inside and can travel anywhere in space and time, piloted by a man with two hearts whose entire body regenerates into a new man upon death = believable

Notion that a child conceived close to the phenomonal power source that allows the Tardis to do all that could be affected in some way = tosh.

:)
