Star Wars Live Action TV Show...

hi all, i remember reading about this some time ago now and was just curious if anything had come of it? i know it's going to be set between episode III and episode IV, but not a whole lot more. does anyone have information on where it's going to be filmed? i can't seem to find much information.

thanks

The short version is that is on hold because Lucas Films can't figure out a way to make it cost effective and give it the look they feel it deserves.

It's always amusing when billionares bitch about not having enough money to do what they want.

a movie of the week? what does that mean?

My guess would be 2 hours.

:rommie: Someone should remind him that Boba Fett is an OT character.

:D Haha, well done sir! That's certainly true enough. I hope they don't dilute it to the point that he is no longer the main character. Although that is what makes The Clone Wars refreshing.

yah but how can they do 1 movie length ep every week? just seems like so much content.

A movie OF the week, not a movie EVERY week.

The man has a net worth of $3.2 billion. Why pay people to write 52 hours of television for a series that hasn't received the green light? He can afford it.

oh, ok. this makes more sense.

does anyone know where lucas has planned to film the show?

Before the series was placed on hold, the plan was for production to be based out of Sydney, but at least some filming would've occurred in other countries as well.

ReadyAndWilling, not sure where you live or how old you are, but in the US we used to have these things on the major networks where they would produce a feature-length story and air it without a theatrical release. They still do this from time to time, and it's more common on cable, but I can't recall one being aired on broadcast since this Knights Templar thingy with Mira Sorvino a few years back.

They used to be something that you kinda looked forward to seeing and then forgot about.

As has now been stated a few times, the series is no longer in development. There is no more information to be had on something that never occurred.
