Dinklage is definitely a good choice. Sacha Baron Cohen might be interesting too with this mixture:

While I haven't much cared for any of "his" movies, his performances in the films of others have shown me that the man's an excellent actor, and has tremendous range. In addition to delivering an excellent performance in "Hugo", he was also pretty impressive as Pirelli in "Sweeney Todd", and is supposedly legitimately scary, and utterly detestable (as he should be) as Monsieur Thénardier in the upcoming film version of "Les Miserables".
He'd make a great "Q". Not that it matters though, because the character will almost certainly never appear in any Star Trek feature film. At least, not within the current continuity.

Nutrek = The Original Series, for now at least. I'd rather think about re-imagining of Its characters, for now at least.

I really wasn't any more interested in seeing Q than I was seeing Khan again, but NPH as Trelane? Hell, I'd probably watch that.
