Accidentally got purple when I did pink over blue. Woo.

Yes, I'm aware that pink+blue=purple, but I had tried it before on purpose and I got grey.... so this was a nice surprise.

Our Japanese Maple bloomed this morning, only lasts for a few days. So I decided to go out and get a few pics. I'm not overall very happy with the pics, will try again tomorrow. May try earlier in the day. Don't really like the composition, not sure what it is about it that I don't like, just bugs me.

bro - i love that red/pink Acer colour. How does yours stay so pink at that size? I find they always tend towards more variegation as they get bigger. You must have a different strain to many I see around here.

Ours is very red spring and fall and tends to darken during the summer.

I planted a different variety on the other corner of the house, it starts out a more muted red and transitions to green pretty quickly.

Yep, the second type seems to be more common round here. If you happen to know particular variety of the really red in Spring one, I'd love to know for future reference, as that's the kind I want to get myself at some point.

Found an old news story about me.
Pelletshooting-1.jpg

The only errors in it were It was a full sized Chevy Van, (not running on all 8.)
And they eventually got the pellet out from the out side. (a few months later.)
An inch higher and I'd of lost my left eye.

I just noticed the date of that news report. Rough week...

tsq - the new cut definitely suits you.

Thanks. :) I always trust your opinion in these matters because you have superb taste. The only person whose opinion I trust more is my friend Joseph, because he's a mean and judgemental bitch; if he says I'm looking slim or that a dress looks good on me I know I look damn fine, because if I looked chubby or the cut was unflattering, he'd say so!

 Thanks for vote of confidence. I think I like Joseph, too. :D

You didn't use the rule of thirds?

It's the house. The way the house appears in this shot makes the picture look a bit odd.

^True. Maybe shoot the tree from the opposite side, or from the driveway, and see if you like the shot better.

Was hoping for more sun today, but it's terribly overcast. However here are two pics taken from the opposite direction. Meh!

Is that a Renault?

Nah, its a Skoda Fabia. Manufactured late 2000. Most of my relatives drive Fabias of varying models actually. Its become family thing. They're very popular in eastern Europe. They're, well I wouldn't call them uncommon, but there are a lot fewer of them up here in Sweden.

A lot of people claim its a "shitty czech car", but they're incredibly reliable, cheap to maintain and cheap to own. Honestly, whet else do you need in a daily driver? The bloody thing practically produces petrol. One of my friends got it down to 0.63 litre / 10km. According to the specs, it could do 0.55 brand new. Its 12 years old and has 120000 miles on the meter.

I really need to do the laundry...

Lily and Alvin usually sleep in spoon position, so this was a new one:

The obligatory "holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa" shot.

And for some reason I really like this shot approaching the Leaning Tower.
